The Warriors announced an unprotected contract to sign Gary Payton II back.
The Warriors cut Peyton II on preseason closing day. Payton played 10 games for the Warriors in the 2020-21 season, averaging 2.5 points and 1.1 rebounds per 4 minutes per game. Last season he averaged 10.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.5 steals in the Development League in 21.9 minutes.
The Warriors lineup reached a full 17-man roster (including two two-way players).
