The 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympic Games will take place from March 4 to March 13, with Shaanxi athletes Liu Zixu and Wang Tao participating in the Winter Paralympic Games.

On the list of Chinese delegations that have been released, Liu Zixu and Wang Tao are on the list. At the European Cup for Paralympic Nordic Skiing in Wokati, Finland, on 19 December 2021, Liu Zixu won the first place in the men's sitting position of the biathlon, and this precious gold medal was also the first gold medal won by the Chinese team in the world championship in this event; Wang Tao also achieved a fifth-place result in this category.

In 2021, Liu Zixu and Wang Tao represented Shaanxi Province in the cross-country skiing and biathlon competitions of the 11th National Paralympic Games, Liu Zixu won the runner-up in the men's sitting short, medium and long distance biathlons, and Wang Tao won the third place in the men's sitting short and middle distance competitions, winning honors for Shaanxi.

Huashang Daily reporter learned from the Shaanxi Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation that Liu Zixu and Wang Tao are 25 years old this year, and both of them can carefully listen to the coach's guidance, overcome their own obstacles, never cry out for fatigue, and actively make the final preparation sprint for the Winter Paralympic Games, whether in the training process of the Shaanxi team or the national team. Through the experience accumulated by the two people constantly participating in major competitions at home and abroad, the two have a high level of competition, and the gap with the world's high-level players is also narrowing. Looking forward to the performance of Liu Zixu and Wang Tao at the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympic Games, I wish them a higher level of competition.
