The 76ers have pushed for a deal involving James Harden before this year's trade deadline, but after sending Drummond in the deal, it also left the 76ers with a lack of depth up front.
According to the US media John Clark, the 76ers officially signed a short 10-day contract with Willie Cowley-Stein:
Cauley Stein is not a star player, but he should be able to become a stable substitute behind the 76ers as center Joel Embiid. While playing for the Lone Rangers, Cauley-Stein averaged 1.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18 games.
On the other hand, Joel Embiid exposed many "stories" between the two after Ben Simmons left the team, and in an interview with the US media Malika Andrews, Embiid talked about his efforts to get Simmons back to the venue:
"I did a lot of things to try to get him back and make him feel comfortable again, but it was tough and in the end I didn't care.
The good news is that Embiid now no longer has to worry about this situation and can focus on the future, embiid will also be able to partner James Harden and lead the team to the championship trophy.
Finally, former 76ers player JJ Redick said on a show that his expectations for James Harden's debut were "quite low":
"My expectations of him are actually quite low, I think it's to keep him fit and I want to see that explosive James Harden before the hamstring injury last year."
For the 76ers, Harden's health problems are definitely a key premise for the team to hit the championship trophy this season.
