On September 25, 1941, the Japanese army mobilized more than 3,500 puppet troops to attack the Wolfa Mountain area southwest of Yi County.

In order to cover the safe evacuation of the party and government organs and troops and the masses of the people, Ge Zhenlin of the sixth squad of the Seventh Company and Ma Baoyu, the squad leaders, Song Xueyi, Hu Delin, and Hu Fucai, fought fiercely with the enemy.

After completing the mission, the five people were also surrounded by Japanese troops, and in order not to fall into the hands of the Japanese army, the five resolutely jumped off the cliff.

In the end, Ge Zhenlin and Song Xueyi miraculously survived, and on March 21, 2005, Ge Zhenlin died of illness at the age of 88.
