The average teacher's office space is between 1.5 square meters and 2 square meters. In this limited space, students' homework books, teaching aids, teaching materials, and so on are piled up. If there are several teachers talking, the chat is louder, and it will inevitably not affect other teachers. When the students are out of class, the office will be crowded with students, some of them delivering homework, some of them are troublemakers who need to criticize education, and some of them are students who hang out.
Compared with the office of the school leader, the office environment of the front-line teachers can only be described as pitiful. The space of the school leadership office is 50% of a classroom, which is generally divided into two parts, half of which is the reception room and half of which is the rest area. The reception room is equipped with tea sets, water dispensers, desks, etc., and the lounge area has sofas and bookshelves.
The office environment affects teachers to think deeply about problems, and the teachers in the office cannot think deeply about problems, which also reflects our current educational environment, full of impetuousness. The educational environment is not conducive to teachers' in-depth thinking, and it is difficult for teachers themselves to calm down. Obviously, this is not only detrimental to the professional development of teachers themselves, but also affects the physical and mental health of students.
Therefore, improving the teacher's office environment, reducing unnecessary non-teaching tasks, and allowing teachers to think deeply in the office are more conducive to the development of teachers themselves and the healthy growth of students.
