On the afternoon of February 20, the opening ceremony of the 2022 National Men's Volleyball Elite Training Camp was held at the Shunyi PHD Training Base.
Li Xin, vice chairman of the Chinese Rowing Association, delivered a welcome speech at the ceremony, expressing his heartfelt welcome to the national men's volleyball team for physical fitness testing and intensive training at the Shunyi PHD training base, hoping that the men's volleyball players can improve their physical fitness level through training, and the Chinese Rowing Association will do a good job in all aspects of logistics support.
Yu Guangyan, deputy director of the Volleyball Center, made a mobilization for the opening of the camp, and he first led everyone to study the "Notice of the Volleyball Center of the General Administration of Sport on Implementing the Spirit of the National Volleyball Work Conference", requiring all coaches and athletes to fully understand the spirit of the National Volleyball Work Conference of the General Administration of Sport, adhere to the concept of reform and innovation, and devote themselves to promoting the revitalization and development of Chinese volleyball.
Athlete Jiang Chuan spoke on behalf of all the participating athletes, he thanked the leaders and coaches of the volleyball center for providing the athletes with first-class physical training conditions, and he hoped to strengthen the improvement of their physical fitness level, strengthen the mastery of technology, strive to reduce injuries, and lay a solid foundation for a longer professional sports career.
Wu Sheng, head of the training camp training guidance group, believes that under the correct leadership of the General Administration of Sports, the men's volleyball elite training camp organized by the Volleyball Center is very timely and necessary. He hoped that all athletes participating in the training camp should practice and test truthfully, actively cooperate with the work of the physical fitness experts of the training camp, find deficiencies, make up for physical shortcomings, and provide a theoretical basis for future scientific training work.
Finally, Li Quanqiang, director of the Volleyball Center, put forward requirements for the work of the training camp, and he asked everyone to attach great importance to the physical training work, fully realize the great significance of the leaders of the General Administration of Sports to pay close attention to physical training, unify thinking, gather consensus, and use the opportunity of the training camp to lay a good physical foundation and seek greater development. All participating athletes must pass the ideological, style and physical barriers in the training camp, but the athletes who pass the training camp cannot be selected for the national team. He asked the whole team to work closely with the physical training team of the base, truly improve the basic physical fitness and special physical fitness level through scientific training, and make reserves for the national men's volleyball team to turn around in Asia and the world.
