On October 21, Nike announced on its official WeChat public account that its brand Jordan signed the first Chinese female athlete Yang Shuyu, "which is the first female athlete in China and even Asia signed by the Jordan brand."
The 19-year-old Yang Shuyu's most recent performance was at the Tokyo Olympics. The Chinese team won the bronze medal in the women's three-man basketball event at the Tokyo Olympics, when the lineup was Yang Shuyu, Wang Lili, Zhang Zhiting and Wan Jiyuan. This is the first Olympic medal of Chinese three-person basketball, and it is also the second best result in the history of Chinese basketball Olympic games.
