According to the earnings report, these cards were once very hot sellers, but they have recently cooled down, and only $550 million has been recorded in the entire 2022 fiscal year, which is far less than expected.

Even so, NVIDIA has not stopped investing. According to the latest exposure, NVIDIA has taken out the top large core GV100 of the previous generation Volta architecture and made a new mining card "CMP 100HX".

The GV100 core is manufactured in a 12nm process, integrates 21.1 billion transistors, and has a core area of 815 square millimeters, an increase of 38% and 34% respectively compared with the earlier Pascal architecture large core GP100.

GV100

According to the network exposure information, the CMP 100HX mining card adopts the exact same PCB design scheme as the Titan V graphics card, but the heat dissipation is changed to passive, used for server racks or mining clusters, the power supply interface is enhanced to two 8-pin, and the output interface is naturally canceled.

Curiously, it also retains the NVLink bus gold finger, which can be dual SIM parallel, but is obviously useless in mining.

Titan V is the only consumer product of the GV100 core, and it is also the card king of 2017-2018, with 5120 CUDA cores, 640 Tensor cores, single-precision floating-point performance of 15TFlops, with 3072-bit 12GB BHM2 memory, the power consumption of the whole card is 250W, and the asking price is as high as $3000.

Titan V

In terms of computing power, CMP 100HX 250W power consumption is 81MH/s, the efficiency is still quite high, but I don't know whether the video memory is still 12GB HBM2, in general, the capacity will be simplified.

The CMP 50HX power consumption of the Turing architecture and TU102 core is also 250W, and the computing power is only 45MH/s; the CMP 90HX computing power of the Amere architecture and GA102 core has 86MH/s, but the power consumption is 320W.
