Next to the office building of the Winter Olympic Organizing Committee of Beijing Shougang Park, a beautiful sculpture with unique colors stands quietly. The sculpture, titled "The Covenant of the Winter Olympics", takes figure skating as the theme and depicts two Olympic champions from the East and the West traveling through time and space to meet at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. The author of this sculpture is Huang Jian, an outstanding alumnus of Changsha University of Science and Technology, a visiting professor of the School of Design and Art, and the first Chinese sculpture artist to be awarded the "Olympic Art Ambassador" by the International Olympic Committee. On February 18, reporters contacted Huang Jian to listen to her story.

"The Covenant of the Winter Olympics" is one of a series of works created by Huang Jian for the Beijing Winter Olympic Games. As early as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Huang Jian focused his creation theme on the Olympic Games. She insists on combining ancient Chinese traditional cultural symbols with the local cultural characteristics of the cities hosting the Olympic Games from all walks of life, which not only highlights the spirit of Chinese culture, but also reflects the concept of multicultural exchange resonance. As the world's first Chinese sculpture artist to be awarded the "Ambassador of Olympic Art" by the International Olympic Committee, Huang Jian has created more than 40 sculptures for 6 Olympic Games over the years.

At the Tinder Collection Ceremony of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the "Olympic Art Ambassador" Huang Jian's "Olympic Flame" sculpture series was selected as the tinder collection ceremony. The sculpture "Olympic Flame" shows the ancient Greek goddess of victory who has endured three thousand years of wind and rain in Beijing nirvana, for the Olympic goddess to hold high the Olympic peace flame, holding up the peace dove and olive branch, jade standing on the lotus flower symbolizing peace and beauty. IOC President Bach praised the Olympic Flame as a great symbol of light, unity, friendship, peace and justice, and will become a beacon of hope for mankind to unite in the fight against the "epidemic".

As a beijing winter olympic theme sculpture, "Ao he Dream" uses romantic techniques to portray the goddess of beauty from China and Greece, two ancient civilizations of the East and the West. Dressed in lotus flowers, the Moon Goddess Chang'e joined hands with the Olympic goddess wearing a crown of olive branches to hold up the five Olympic rings, forming a heart-to-heart pattern, dancing harmoniously with the sun and the moon in the vast sky, and spreading the sound of Olympic peace to the sky. The work symbolizes the Opening of a New Era of Space Olympics after the Ancient Olympic Games and the Modern Olympic Games in Beijing, and expresses the beautiful ideal and auspicious meaning of the Chinese people and the people of the world working together to realize the dream of peace in the Space Olympics and create a community with a shared future for mankind.
