As a famous historical and cultural city, Ningbo has inherited a large number of time-honored enterprises and brands in the long history and culture of commercial history and culture, and now these enterprises and brands have become the historical heritage, cultural symbols and spiritual memories of Ningbo. In order to protect and develop local time-honored brands, 24 departments in Ningbo jointly issued the "Ningbo Municipal Implementation Plan for Promoting the Inheritance and Innovative Development of Time-honored Brands", which includes the identification of time-honored brands for the first time, strengthening the protection of inheritance, promoting innovative development, and promoting enterprise reform.
According to the plan, Ningbo issued interim measures for the identification of long-established brands last year. The Measures stipulate that enterprises participating in the identification of "Ningbo Time-honored Brand" must be enterprises or organizations registered in accordance with the law in the administrative jurisdiction of Ningbo City, need to have the exclusive right to use the trademark or exclusive license right consistent with the brand name, have been established for more than 30 years (including 30 years), have unique products, skills and services, or obtain national patent rights for independent innovation.
The identification of the first batch of "Ningbo time-honored brands" lasted more than 3 months, and finally, Xizhou Fangji of our county stood out from a number of qualified enterprises and was selected as the first batch of "Ningbo time-honored brands".
The birth of "Fangji" can be traced back to the 26th year of Guangxu (1900), when the "Western Zhou Hongxing South Goods Store" was founded, the owner Chen Jishun not only had to take care of the business house, but also had Tian Mu to take care of it, so he found a helper named Yilanji, and also hired a pastry chef A Qing, who operated traditional pastries such as printing cakes and moon cakes. Master A Qing, as the leader of the pastry craft of "Fang Ji", often hangs "people do not deceive cakes, cakes do not deceive people" on his lips, and passes on the rule of "authenticity" from generation to generation.
In the 1950s, Chen Jiali's grandfather Yi Zongquan left Xiangshan to Shanghai to learn advanced pastry making skills, and after returning from school, it coincided with the birth of Chen Jiali's mother, and Grandpa Yi Zongquan made a batch of moss cakes for his daughter's birthday celebration after rejoicing, and printed the word "Fangji" on each cake, distributed it free of charge to neighbors and passers-by.
In recent years, Chen Jiali is well aware that pastries are a regional culture, so he pays more attention to cultural exploration, sorts out the history and production skills of family cake production and inheritance, and Western Zhou Fangji was selected into the fifth batch of Xiangshan county-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects in 2018, committed to inheriting the time-honored culture of enterprises.
