On the evening of February 11, 2022, the "2022 Chinese Culture Night and Shanghai Museum Night" was successfully held at the Sheraton San Gabriel Hotel. Zhang Ping, Chinese Consul General in Los Angeles, his wife Chen Wei, US Congress member Zhao Meixin, and US Senator Susan Rubio attended the meeting. Hundreds of spectators, including elected Chinese officials and representatives of overseas Chinese, watched the performance.
Zhang Ping delivered a speech and congratulated Eagle Dragon Media on its successful hosting of the event. Zhang Ping said that the theme of this evening party is Jiangnan culture, especially Shanghai culture, as a hometown culture, I feel very kind to this, and homesickness is spontaneous. The cultural and creative products of the Shanghai Museum exhibited at the event left a deep impression on everyone and let us see the inheritance and development of Chinese culture. It is believed that such activities will not only help to carry forward the traditional Chinese culture, but also play a positive role in enhancing the people-to-people ties between China and the United States.
The format of the evening party was novel, and local artists and artists from far away in China performed together by video, jointly presenting Kunqu opera, Pingtan, Yue opera, Shanghai opera and other programs, and the climax of the whole evening show was repeated, sending a special Feast of Shanghai culture to the audience.
