The Bellator match, to be held in London, England, on May 13, has a new high-profile showdown, with former UFC lightweight champion Lyoto Machida against homegrown rookie Fabian Edwards. This is Machida Ryuta's last game contract at Bellator, and this battle may be his last match at Bellator.
Machida Ryuta (26-11, 11 K, 2 S) is 43 years old and has a height of 185cm and an arm span of 190cm. He began his professional MMA career in 2003, joined the UFC in 2007 with a score of (8-0) and achieved a (16-8) result at the UFC in 2018. He began his professional MMA career in 2017 and has maintained a total of 9 wins until 2019. Unfortunately, the 2020 divergent decision to lose to Costello van Steenis suffered his first career defeat, having just lost two straight points to Austin Vanderford in April last year. In addition, Edwards is due to play Against Marian Dimitrov (10-2, 7 K, 0 S) in The Bellator 275 in February.
The headline main event was the Bellator sub-middleweight championship tournament, the first defending match of the current champion Of Ukraine's undefeated yaroslav Amosov (26-0, 9 K, 10 S), challenged by local "Venom" Michael Page (20-1, 12 K, 3 S).
