The New Japanese Anime "Tokyo 24 Ward", which began airing in January 2022, is an original anime produced by CloverWorks, a subsidiary of Aniplex. This is the first episode of "Tokyo 24 Ward", the choice faced by The three people of Kaota, Ran, and Hiroki = commonly known as RGB. How was "Tokyo 24 Ward" born?
Tsuda: When I met Mr. Aniplex Astridori (Producer of the Aniplex Project) through common acquaintances, he asked me, "Are you interested in original works?" I replied "yes", which is the starting point. When nothing was decided, he asked me, "Is there anything you want to do?" I replied, "I want to draw this kind of thing," and I asked Mr. Toba a lot of questions, so I got the project in shape. It's totally what I do what I want to do. Nowadays, this is relatively rare.
——How did the characters Ota, Ran, and Hiroki (RGB) come about?
Tsuda: These three are characters that I want to make for men who must become adults. Not a step forward, seriously influenced by parents, in short, actively moving around... I want to juxtapose how each of them overcomes, from a time when children are about to grow into adults.
——When portraying the relationship between the three RGB people, what should we pay attention to?
Tsuda: When the screenwriter Mr. Shimokura submitted the character idea, RGB had already made the color scheme and the personality was already divided, so I thought, "These guys will find their own balance." However, I remember that I was very troubled about how to make the character of Katsuta stand up. The characters of Ran and Hiroki are more clear-cut, so it is easier for Hatta to stand up.
——Looking back at Episode 1, is there any scene where the production is particularly powerful?
Tsuda: Episode 1 is all about it. In short, it is the production intensity of the home run to cut the storyboard. Mr. Toba also gave the order that "the work of episode 1 will be up to you!" If I had to say it, that was the scene where Shota got rid of the bondage and saved Sakura-mukari. Considering that if it is not wonderful here, the film will be finished, so I am glad that the quality of the finish is not bad.

Tsuda: They are all well-known creators, and I really don't want to comment on their work. The phrase "very good" is "very good". First of all, I have worked with Mr. Kishida before, and this time he also took over the job, which is a great honor for me. I have loved Mr. Kishida's paintings since I was a former artist. It was my first time working with FiFS, but I knew their designs before. They are engaged in "creating characters", they are very concerned about the current market, and they are integrated into the roles, very professional, and this time I have a very big gain from getting to know them. And then Mr. Shimoura... How to say, I worked with him on two and three feet in Tokyo 24 Ward, and he patiently turned my vague requirements into concrete things, and my impression was "Is it good to be so luxurious?" Another thing is that I think "Mr. Shimokura's brain is really good." I am very grateful to all of you.

Tsuda: Shota is a character who is dragged down by the past and doesn't want to be an adult. He has a big physique and a lot of physical strength. But the spiritual side is a bit innocent. Although it is very manly, it prefers something a little gloomy mentally. He is physically responsible, so the action scenes are basically the responsibility of this guy. He will make big moves, so it should be very interesting.
- Please talk about Lan.
Tsuda: Ran is a talented artist. Flexible fingers, good at making utensils and handling computers, and very inflammatory. He was excellent. I remember making the images he depicted, which was very hard to fight. The picture may be fast flowing, but I still hope that the audience can pause the picture to enjoy it. Because the amount of information is very large. Also, Lan is a character who is very happy to draw. I still long for this kind of character who jokes and stays restrained at the same time. He has a starfish on his head, which is his charm point.
- Please talk about Hiroki.
Tsuda: Hiroki is a so-called hideyoshi type. When I get home, I prepare and review my homework, run, build muscles and exercise myself without distraction. After entering the university, he did a social internship and went to work in the field guard of the police organization. The hidden theme of the title of the work will be related to the different ideas of Xiang Hiroki and Ran, so how it is related is a part that can be expected. In addition, Hiroki is a kind-hearted character who pays attention to the subtleties of others. Therefore, he is also a person who is more likely to be doubly hurt than others, but he will definitely rely on his natural M personality to tenaciously overcome difficulties.

Tsuda: This ability improvement, I think, is "the expansion of functions in the field I am good at." I think PCs and smartphones are the expansion of the function of their own brains. To put it more advanced, this is less like a simple superpower. Therefore, the ability to improve is also limited function. Regardless of the first, Hiroki's abilities are difficult to understand. Without the picture to make the audience understand, it is not convincing, so we are painstaking in the photographic processing.

Tsuda: In the future, the three of them will deal with all kinds of people, and they will also have a "train problem" and will be forced to make various choices.
