Shanghai University of Sport, as the permanent base of the summer training of the China Steel Frame Snow Team, under the leadership of Professor Gao Binghong of the Physical Education and Training College, provides a variety of scientific and technological research services for the Steel Frame Snow Team. Since 2019, the scientific and technological research team led by Professor Gao Binghong has participated in the preparation of scientific and technological research services, and has established a "6+2" training guarantee model for the steel frame snow team to monitor and regulate the functional state, training load, special ability, training method, action technology and psychological state, as well as physical fitness and rehabilitation, nutrition and recovery.
Tian Guang, Xia Pengyu and Yao Xuewu, master's students of the Institute of Physical Education and Training, serve as physical fitness coaches, and according to the overall objectives of different training stages, assist the head coach to formulate and implement the physical training program of key athletes in a targeted manner, effectively improve the explosive power of athletes, optimize the running action mode of athletes, improve the physical reserve level of athletes, and provide a solid physical foundation for the transformation of rapid sledding ability.
Gong Min, a doctoral student in the College of Physical Education and Training, and Zhu Huan, a doctoral student in the School of Sports Science, served as scientific researchers, established a physical and technical evaluation index system for steel-frame snowmobile athletes and a sports training and body function monitoring index system, providing support and help for coaches and athletes in terms of athlete physical fitness testing and evaluation, exercise load and athlete physical function monitoring, pushing and sled action technology diagnosis, fatigue elimination, data analysis, etc., thereby improving sports performance.
Teacher Wang Dan of the Physical Education and Training College serves as the team doctor, and Teacher Sun Yang of the Sports Science College serves as the leader of the rehabilitation team, using traditional Chinese medicine methods such as acupuncture and techniques, combined with periodic personalized assessment, intervention and treatment, to provide medical and rehabilitation guarantees for athlete training and competition, and ensure the smooth progress of preparation. In addition, as a team doctor, Teacher Wang Dan is also responsible for drug management and anti-doping work involving the team.
Jin Shengkang, a master's student in the School of Sports Science, serves as a nutritionist, mainly responsible for the nutrition of the steel frame snow team. Focusing on the preparation goals for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, according to the physical form, functional characteristics and project needs of key athletes, according to the physiological and biochemical indicators and training conditions of athletes, the personalized nutrition plan for key athletes is formulated to provide nutritional protection for athletes to participate in a good physical state.
Li Shuhua, a doctoral student in the School of Psychology, serves as a psychological counselor, and in the process of preparing for the Winter Olympics by the national training team of the steel frame snowmobile, through behavior observation, psychological scale, individual interview, biofeedback training, etc., a set of systems that can be measured, reviewed, early warning, intervention, and tracked feedback are formed, so as to provide psycho-scientific and technological support for athletes to timely check and intervene in potential psychological crises, ensure their psychological stability in the preparation process, and exert high-level competition results.
In June 2021, after the steel frame snow team ended the last summer training in Shanghai after the preparation cycle of the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport sent a letter of thanks to the Shanghai Institute of Sport, affirming the selfless guarantee efforts and rigorous work attitude of the Shanghai Institute of Sport and Professor Gao Binghong's team, escorting the preparation work for many years and helping the team climb one competitive peak after another. In July of the same year, the Shanghai University of Sport was awarded the honorary title of "China Ice and Snow Science and Technology Joint Research Unit" at the Commendation Conference for the 2020-2021 Season of Ice and Snow Projects and the Awarding Ceremony of Certificates of China Ice and Snow Science Consultant held at the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of the People's Republic of China.
