Song Dongye 'comeback' shouted injustice, why don't netizens buy it? It is impossible to say that "helplessness and despair" is used as a shield for "drug motives"

On October 11, Song Dongye posted a "small essay" on social media platforms to "seek justice" for himself. Photo/Screenshot of a social media platform

Song Dongye, although his name has a "wild" word, his external image has always been a folk singer holding a guitar and singing a faint love song, and in 2016, Song Dongye was controlled by the Beijing police for smoking marijuana, which allowed the public to see the other side of his "wild".

Now, five years later, he has long faded from the public eye, and when he was forgotten by the world, Song Dongye returned to the public opinion space again because of a late-night "seeking justice" Microblog.

According to Song Dongye's own account, his planned offline concert in Chengdu was temporarily cancelled due to complaints from the masses. He thinks the official rule is a three-year ban, and now that he has been using drugs for 5 years, why can't he work properly? He stressed that he was also a member of the masses of the people, and he also had the right to work legally, and pointed out that the masses who "maliciously reported" obstructed the fairness of laws and regulations.

Song Dongye's timely correction after taking drugs really should not be blamed, and he should not continue to live in the shadow of drug use, but when he continued to defend the motives of drug use, he angered netizens.

First, let's review Song Dongye's so-called "reform and self-renewal" mental process. In the first half of his Weibo, he seems to be acknowledging the fact that he took drugs five years ago, and repeatedly emphasizing his determination to reform himself. However, the text buried a lot of "foreshadowing", but there is a suspicion of "rationalizing drug use".

For example, Song Dongye stressed that "the artist industry is the hardest hit area of depression and mental illness, and often in the most helpless and desperate times, drug traffickers have premeditated appearances" "Who can bear the poison disguised as sugar?" ”

Are these claims a "legitimate" justification for their drug use?

What cannot be ignored is that when Song Dongye was arrested for smoking marijuana, he was a 29-year-old adult, not a three-year-old naughty child, so why should he not be able to resist the "sugar-coated shells"?

What's more, it is clear that he himself cannot resist temptation, loses the moral bottom line, and insists on finding reasons for depression, and uses "helpless despair" as a shield for "drug motives".

Previously, after many celebrities were arrested for drug use, when asked about the reasons for drug use, they would always find excuses, saying what inspired, escaping pressure, and some saying that it was for socializing and maintaining their figure... In short, it is not their own fault, it is all other reasons, and these reasons are difficult to stand.

For any reason, it is not an excuse for a person to choose to take drugs.

In the final analysis, celebrity drug abuse is still a disaster caused by unworthy morality and unworthy art, and at the same time, the pocket is inflated, and it is also sought after by thousands of people, and the sound and color of dogs and horses have lost their original intention of being a person from art.

It is worth noting that the second half of Song Dongye's Weibo seems to say the "voice" of some bad artists. In the article, he stressed that "the Notice on Further Strengthening Commercial Performances stipulates a three-year ban period, and now 5 years have passed since his drug use" "I have become a better person and should be let go of a way of life" "I am just a singer who writes and sells songs, how do you want me to ..."

In the past five years, how Song Dongye has reformed himself, and whether he really "used himself as an example to popularize anti-drug knowledge to friends" as he said, others have no way of knowing.

What the public can see is that when netizens asked him "why do you have to be an artist, don't you still want to get money fast", his reply is a dirty word. Some netizens posted on China Police Online in 2020 "The Relationship between Drug Addicts and Anti-Drug Police" under the Weibo @Song Dongye, asking him "Do you still feel wronged?" Song Dongye's reply was: I think.

When he made a mistake and went astray, society gave him the opportunity to reform himself. Netizens have counted the "daily life" of Song Dongye in these years - new songs, business performances, and running music festivals are not left behind. It can be seen that he is not living in the shadow of drug abuse, but he is less of the previous front and back hugs. Such a gap also made him unacceptable, and he still defended the original motive for drug use.

Whether the drug use was "voluntary" or "forced by life", the person who made the mistake was always himself, as netizens commented: the drug did not "open his mouth and jump in by himself." Song Dongye packaged himself as a drug victim who took the initiative to contact drugs, and it was difficult to win the sympathy of the public.

I hope that the reaction of public opinion can wake up some artists who still want to continue to pretend to sleep: instead of selling tragic confessions, it is better to admit mistakes in a down-to-earth manner.
