Destin Creighton, director of Marvel's new film "Shangqi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", posted a photo with Hong Kong actor Yuan Hua on social platforms, suspected of implying that Yuan Hua starred in the film.
Their pose mimicks Yuanhua's classic look in "The Flying Dragon", with Destin Creighton writing in the caption "Master Yuanhua in our Sydney living room (2020)" and @Shangqi and the Legend of the Ten Rings official account.
It has not yet been determined that Yuanhua starred in or participated in the film in other forms.
As Marvel's first Chinese superhero movie, Shangqi and the Legend of the Ten Rings involves a lot of Chinese kung fu elements. Marvel staff have also revealed that Shangqi's character design and combat uniforms are inspired by Bruce Lee.
"Shangqi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" is starred by Liu Simu as Shangqi, Liang Chaowei as Wenwu, Okafina as Katie, Zhang Meng'er as Xialing, and Yang Ziqiong, Chen Fara, and Qian Xinyi. The film will be released in North America on September 3.
