Zhangjiakou, February 14 (Reporter Wang Yu Chen Lin) Four times on the Winter Olympics, 31-year-old Xu Mengtao finally successfully fulfilled her dream at the doorstep of her home and won the freestyle ski women's aerial skills championship. Counting the persistence and preparation of the past four cycles, her body has long been scarred. Before the Vancouver Winter Olympics, Xu Mengtao's anterior cruciate ligament in her right leg was ruptured; before the Sochi Winter Olympics, she had a transverse process on the right side of her cervical disc and a torn medial ligament in her right leg; and during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, she suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament of her left leg. In order to prepare for the Beijing Winter Olympics, she chose to undergo meniscus surgery on her legs. Behind this hard-won gold medal, Xu Mengtao has gone through countless long cycles from injury to recovery, paying tribute to the veteran. (End)
