In 1907, Guo Rugui was born in Tongliang County, Sichuan Province, in a scholarly mendi, and then fell into the family road because of the war. Guo Rugui's original name was Ru Gui, because he was born on September 9 of the lunar calendar, which was just the day when the Qing Dynasty examiners entered the exam, and his father, who was still intoxicated with the "Toad Palace Folding Gui", named his son "Ru Gui". His father, Guo Langxi, was good at discussing current politics and often attacked the Beiyang warlords for political corruption and bribery, and Guo Rugui had heard about it since he was a child and was deeply affected.

When he was a child, his father let him study well and defend the country in the future, because the family was in the middle of the road, the family could not afford mr. private school, so he sent him to the outside school, just like this, Guo Ruzhen spent a happy childhood. In 1919, Guo Rugui went to Chengdu with his father and entered Chengdu Higher Normal High School. It was during the outbreak of the May Fourth Movement that various social trends of thought surged and Guo Rugui was influenced by his teacher Hu Zilin and developed a vague sense of peace-loving.
Near graduation, Guo Rugui became a student representative at that time with his own efforts, participated in and opposed the wave of feudal education promoted by the principal Zhang Zheng, and thus made many classmates and learned about Marxism in the exchanges with these students. At the end of the year, Guo Rugui graduated from Chengdu Union High School High School.
During this time, he saw the civilians who were homeless because of the war, and saw the numbness in the eyes of the people, like an arrow inserted into his heart, which completely touched him. It is precisely because of this belief that Guo Rugui resolutely chose to abandon his pen and congrong, and he finally understood that only the gun in his hand could help the people and help China.

During this year, living in a Japanese non-commissioned officer school with a language barrier and suffering from racial discrimination, the impetus generated by hatred made Guo Rujie work harder to learn knowledge, and also gave him the determination to defend his family and defend his country.
In 1931, Japanese imperialism launched the "9.18" incident in China, and Guo Rugui, who was resentful of being a Chinese at the Japanese Non-Commissioned Officer School, resolutely dropped out of school and returned to the motherland to express his patriotic feelings.

Join the army
Not long after Guo Rujie entered the Army University, he was valued by Yang Jie because of his outstanding achievements. He lived and studied at the Army University for three years, successfully graduated with the first place, and then did not want to hurt the Chinese Party, so he accepted Yang Jie's recommendation and entered the Lu University Research Institute to continue his study, during which he also served as an instructor of war history in the college.
During this period, there was also a major event that changed China's modern history, that is, the Xi'an Incident, because Zhang Xueliang and Yang Hucheng repeatedly proposed cooperation between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, but Chiang Kai-shek opposed it, and the two did not want to see that when the foreign countries were still invading China, Chinese were still fighting among themselves, so they detained Chiang Kai-shek. In the end, a consensus was reached, and the Kuomintang and the Communist Party cooperated for the second time, initially forming an anti-Japanese national united front. Guo Rugui felt that the time was ripe and entered the Nationalist army as chief of staff through Chen Cheng.
After the Lugou Bridge Incident on July 7, 1937, the Japanese invaders expanded the invaded area. As a result, Guo Rugui's 14th Division was ordered by his superiors to stop it from moving south in North China. On the way to the march, because the Japanese army attacked Shanghai, it was later transferred to Songhu for a battle.

During the Battle of Songhu, one of his brigades repeatedly fought with the Japanese army for seven days and seven nights without losing position, destroying more than 3,000 enemy people and becoming famous in the first battle. Later, Guo Ruzhi was even more a pioneer and created one brilliant record after another. Then he took the initiative to ask for help, led the troops to the Battlefield of Wuhan to win the battle, and also guarded the city of Changsha together with Xue Yue, who was known as the "God of War of the Nationalist Party", although the incident of "burning Changsha" occurred in the end, but it was Chiang Kai-shek's judgment error. After participating in so many battles and making great contributions to the Kuomintang, Guo Rugui finally made the senior officials of the Nationalist government look at him differently and joined the core of Chiang Kai-shek's command.

He originally joined our party in May 1928, but after he went abroad, he lost contact with the party, he has been looking for traces of the party since he returned to China, and finally by chance, he met his classmate Ren Yiyi, who had been in the military school, and he quickly took the arm of his classmate to go to a place where no one was there, and through exchanges he knew that he had a cousin who might know, so they went to find his cousin Ren Lianru together. After they met Ren Lianru, Ren Lianru reported to General Dong, who was in charge in the south at the time, and told him about Guo Ruru's former party membership, but after understanding, the organization had no record of him, and he could only rejoin the party, and he wanted to join the party through the inspection period, because he was now a senior official of the Kuomintang and our party, so the inspection period would be very long, during the inspection period, Ren Lianru contacted him, and after a period of contact, Ren Lianru began to gradually believe him and got a lot of information about our party. Casualties of our army were avoided.
The most important of these was that in the Battle of Huaihai, Guo Rugui's contribution was undoubtedly enormous, and in October 1948, before the Battle of Huaihai, the Nationalist government routinely held a combat conference to draw up operational arrangements. At the meeting, He Yingqin proposed to work out the operational deployment together with Guo Rugui, and at the time of drawing up the operational deployment, in order not to reveal his identity, Guo Rugui proposed many combat plans that sounded very practical, and then passed the operational deployment to our party, causing heavy losses to the National Government. Let him help get the intelligence out, Wang Baozhen knew the importance of this information, but in the process of sending it, there was an accident, it turned out that one of his comrades was exposed, and Wang Baozhen was also tired, and was caught by the National Government, after Wang Baozhen was caught, he was imprisoned and bullied by the National Government, but he did not say anything, protecting Guo Rugui's identity.
Wang Baozhen was whipped on the first day with only half a life left, and then the nationalist government opposition had to come every day to severely torture Wang Baozhen, after a period of severe torture, he could not walk upright for a while, seeing that he was beaten like this, the Nationalist government also knew that he would not open his mouth, and reported the situation to Li Zongren, Li Zongren is not Chiang Kai-shek's concubine, and he has always looked down on the veteran, this time also, when Chiang Kai-shek knew, he ordered Wang Baozhen to be killed, but because our party has been putting pressure on Li Zongren, In the end, it was decided to put him in jail first.

It was not until after the Red Army liberated Shanghai that Wang Baozhen was rescued from prison. First he was severely tortured, and then regardless of it, Wang Bao was really able to survive and was also strong in willpower, but after being rescued, he suffered from a stomach disease, so the mainland leaders immediately sent someone to beijing for treatment, so that he could recover.
It was not until after the founding of New China that the elderly Guo Rugui learned from the exchanges of others that Wang Baozhen had been severely tortured in order to protect him from being caught by the Nationalist government, and he was very guilty, so he did not find a place when he wanted to visit the elderly Wang Baozhen, and could only remember his kindness in his heart.
In the autumn of September 1948, after winning the Battle of Jinan, Su Yu of the East China Field Army proposed to the superior leaders that he hoped that he could take advantage of the victory to pursue and attack the Huaiyin and Haizhou areas, called the Huaihai Campaign, and the main goal was to destroy the enemy's living forces and prepare for the next operational plan. After the mainland leaders' thinking decided that this battle must be fought, not only to fight, but also to fight well, the East China Field Army immediately sent troops to fight. The mainland had prepared to carry out a small-scale Huaihai campaign, but in the end the battle situation was getting bigger and bigger, and the war lasted for sixty-six days. Du Yuming, the deputy commander of the Nationalist government, was captured, and it was only when the Battle of Huaihai, the largest battle, ended.
In this battle the Kuomintang invested 800,000 men, while the Red Army had only 600,000 men. There is no doubt about how hard the Red Army fought.
In the Battle of Huaihai, a total of more than 500,000 people were wiped out by the regular army of the National Government and other units, of whom 320,000 were taken prisoner, more than 170,000 were killed or wounded, and 35,000 surrendered, of which 28,000 were uprisings, which shows how correct our Party's thinking is.

In the end, Guo Rugui made up his mind to go to Sichuan, and he found Chiang Kai-shek after a period of persuasion to take this part of the troops, although they were scattered troops, but they could be rebuilt, and the number of troops who went to Sichuan was almost the same as the original troops.
When he came out, he contacted Ren Lianru to tell him the good news and told him the specific situation, and then Ren Lianru said that he could help him, and finally arrived in Sichuan with the help of Ren Lianru. Because he was not sure whether there were any undercover agents, he gave decent orders, alternating day and night to defend the city, and the Red Army shouted and other deployments when they appeared.
After Du Yuming was captured, he wrote "The Beginning and End of the Huaihai Campaign" in his cell, and he now suspects more and more that Guo Rujie is betraying them and has been grumpy.

So he resolutely resigned from the post of director of the Transportation Department of the Southern Sichuan Bureau, and in early March went to the Nanjing Military Academy to start teaching, and for eighteen years, Guo Ruzhi has been working diligently to teach students to fight for the revitalization of China. In the War of Liberation, because he did all the work behind enemy lines, he was not awarded any rank when our Party conferred the rank in 1955.
During his teaching, Du Yuming died, and Before Du Yuming died, Guo Rujie visited him, he was lying on a hospital bed, he still couldn't put it down in his heart, and he was very excited to say to him: "Tell me, are you really our party?" Liberation
After Du Yuming heard this, he finally understood that the traitor in the Kuomintang was him, and when he got the answer, Du Yuming immediately lost his breath. Twenty years have passed, and the Nanjing Military Academy has also announced its abolition, and Guo Rugui, who has passed the age of flower armor, can only return to his hometown of Sichuan to live again. Although since the founding of New China, Guo Rugui has suffered a lot of grievances, but he has always endured silently, his original intention has never changed, and he has always wanted to become a party member, let the people live well, and make the country stronger. He also verbally said that he wanted to join our party, but he happened to be heard by Wu Mantang and others who lived with him, and then through their persuasion, he once again plucked up the courage to submit an application. The person in charge of the party branch at that time did not know that he had joined our party, because he had been a high-level member of the National Government, and finally Guo Rujie's hopes were shattered.
After another ten years, Guo Rugui is now 73 years old, and after ten years of investigation, the situation of the war is generally clear, until April 1980, Guo Rugui wrote a letter directly to the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Mainland, in which he again made a request to join the party, and then the party branch in his area received a notice from our party that Guo Rugui could join the party. Guo Rujie was left in tears of excitement when he took the oath.

After Guo Rujie retired and returned to Sichuan to settle down, many touching stories also happened.
He saw that anything uneven was to be taken care of, and the others were not old, personally took people to climb the mountain, conducted training, and organized a villa for him to live in, and as a result he still lived in his tattered bungalow.
Because he had seen how miserable the starving people were, he hated the scene of corruption and told people not to be corrupt in class and to remember the lessons of history. Our Kuomintang was defeated by our Party because of corruption. Not only that, but he has done a lot of things that are good for the development of the country, and it is admirable that he has done so many things in his old age.
At the end of the year, the party committee of the Chengdu Military Region in Sichuan province saw his performance in action this year and rated him as an outstanding party member of the whole military region.

On October 23, 1997, Guo Rugui was 90 years old, and his daughter Guo Xiangwei also returned home from Nanjing to wish her father a big birthday, and spent a family reunion garden time with his younger brother Guo Xiangcao at home. When his daughter was about to leave for Nanjing, Guo Rugui was relieved and personally went to the airport to bid farewell, and as a result, there was an unfortunate car accident on the road, and finally Guo Lao died of ineffective rescue, completing his tortuous and magnificent life.
After the death of Elder Guo, his old colleagues in the National Government on the other side of the ocean also sent a letter, although there was not a word in it, but everyone understood his intentions, which was also called the famous "wordless book" in later generations.
