On February 11, in the second phase of the Baisha County Sewage Treatment Plant, which has just been completed in the trial operation stage, from time to time, turbid domestic sewage is integrated into a fine grid and swirling sediment pond through the lifting pump station outside the plant, and after more than ten environmental protection treatment processes such as improved oxidation ditches, these sewage have become very clear from the turbid black visible to the naked eye, and the water quality has reached the first-class A standard of the pollutant discharge standard of the urban sewage treatment plant (GB18918-2002), and finally discharged into the upstream river leading to the Songtao Reservoir.

"There is cross-section monitoring along the Songtao Reservoir, and once the discharged water quality is not up to standard, it will be urged to rectify at the first time." Kwong Jifu, general manager of Baisha Li Autonomous County Water Affairs Co., Ltd., who is responsible for the operation and management of this project, introduced that the construction and commissioning of the new project aims to continuously expand the domestic sewage environmental protection treatment system in the county. According to reports, at the beginning of 2010, the first phase of the county sewage treatment plant project was completed and put into use, which can environmentally treat 07,000 tons of domestic sewage per day. In recent years, with the increase in the population of Baisha County and adjacent villages, the domestic sewage generated has also increased day by day, and the first phase of the project continues to run at full capacity, and the expansion of the sewage treatment plant is also imminent.
Li Yuanhan, an engineer at Baisha Water Co., Ltd., said that as early as the construction of the first phase of the project, the relevant departments of Baisha planned to reserve the construction land for the second phase of the project, and some process facilities were built at one time according to the long-term plan. At present, the second phase has completed all the construction of Zhengtong water trial operation, when the second phase of the project through the acceptance of the official put into use, will add 0.5 million tons / day of domestic sewage treatment capacity, which also means that Baisha County will increase to 12,000 tons of domestic sewage that can be environmentally treated every day.
"Environmental protection treatment of domestic sewage, difficulties, pain points in the county under the intricate pipe network; To put it in layman's terms, how to collect so much domestic sewage into the sewage treatment plant is a big problem. In the view of Li Jun, deputy director of the Baisha Water Affairs Center, due to various reasons for the construction of Baisha County in recent years, the sewage pipe network in the county area has different degrees of problems such as rain and sewage confluence, damage, and blockage, etc. In order to deal with domestic sewage, it is particularly important to find out the specific direction and operation status of each domestic sewage buried deep in residential areas, main roads, and green belts. Since 2021, the relevant departments of Baisha have fully implemented the inspection and testing of the domestic sewage discharge pipe network, focusing on mapping and testing the use of the sewage pipe network, and gradually establishing the GIS system (geographic information system), which has completed a total of 100 kilometers of mapping and testing work, accounting for more than 90% of the overall progress, and it is expected that the GIS information system of the domestic sewage discharge pipe network will be initially established in April this year. "At that time, our county will repair and transform the rain and sewage mixed pipe network and the damaged pipe network according to the results of pipe network inspection and testing, and hand over to a third party for management and maintenance, and gradually formulate and improve the normal management mechanism of the pipe network." Li Jun, deputy director of the Baisha Water Affairs Center, added.
According to the plan, this year, Baisha will continue to promote the construction and operation and maintenance of urban and rural sewage treatment projects, and plan to implement 4 sewage treatment plants and supporting pipe network projects in Zhubijiangju, Da'an Town, Guangyaju in Qifang Town, and Dalingju in Rongbang Township, of which 2 have been built. In addition, Baisha has also made great efforts to grasp the construction and operation and maintenance of rural sewage treatment facilities, and has now included a total of 677 villages and settlements in 426 natural villages in 75 administrative villages in the county into the rural domestic sewage treatment plan. After further investigation, the operation and maintenance company will be fully entrusted to take over the operation of 524 sewage treatment sites, and the existing agricultural pollution projects will be sent to the participating units one after another, requiring the full set of materials related to the project construction process to be submitted to the competent departments in a timely manner in order to promote this work in an orderly manner.
