Playing away from Espanyol in the league, Barca won 86-32, drew 29 and lost 25, with a goal difference of 118 to 106. New signing Adama Traore started again, Alves was suspended for a red card, Dest rotated and Garvey continued as a left winger.
In the 2nd minute, Alva crossed the ball over the top on the left wing, Pedri volleyed from far away and the ball hit the near upright and refracted into the net, 1-0.
Six minutes later, Villena knocked back and De Thomas's shot was deflected.
On 13 minutes, Araujo's long pass was deflected by Adama Traore, who cut inside with the ball and deflected it wide. On 24 minutes, Alvar's free-kick was crossed and Adama Traore's shot was deflected wide.
Alva protested Barre's handball, which the referee ignored. In the 37th minute, Garvey's left-wing cross was met by Adama Traore after a penalty stop and fired a shot at goalkeeper Diego López.
