It is the collective name of seven literary scholars during the Jian'an period, they are: Kong Rong, Chen Lin, Wang Xuan, Xu Gan, Ruan Yu, Ying Yao, Liu Zhen, and the "Seven Sons" are from Cao Pi's "Treatise on Classics".

Kong Rong was the eldest of the seven sons and the twentieth grandson of Confucius. From an early age, he was smart and eloquent, and when he was four years old, he gave his brother pears, which was praised by everyone.

Kong Rong was very talented and practical, wrote a good article, and made outstanding political achievements when he was an official. The reputation was very good, and he became an official in the DPRK. He is good at writing articles on a variety of topics, and his works have high artistic value. Cao Pi called it a text: high physical strength.

Kong Rong claimed to be a high-ranking man, disagreed with Cao Cao's political views, and often denigrated Cao Cao. Later, Cao Cao really couldn't stand it, so he found a reason to put Kong Rong to death and curse his entire family. A generation of famous scholars and article masters, Kong Rong died at the age of fifty-six.

Chen Lin and Kong Rong were of similar age, and during the Battle of Guandu, they wrote a text for Yuan Shao: "For Yuan Shao Yu Zhou Wen" to fight Cao Cao, and cao Wen's words were fierce, scolding Cao Cao's ancestors for three generations. Later, Yuan Shao was defeated, and Chen Lin submitted to Cao Cao.

Cao Cao admired his talents and insights, and regardless of his previous suspicions, entrusted him with heavy responsibilities and was in charge of the paperwork of the army. Chen Lin's article: Majestic and powerful, the literary style is bold, like a dagger piercing the heart. Chen Lin's profession is mainly to write essays for Cao Cao and fight against various heroes. Later, Chen Lin contracted the plague and died of the disease.

Wang Xuan was born into a famous and prestigious family, and his ancestors were all high officials of the imperial court. When he was thirteen years old, Dong Zhuo entered Beijing to control the government and forced him to travel from Luoyang to Chang'an, and on the way to chang'an, he saw a large number of poor people either starving to death or being killed by soldiers.

Wang Xuan is knowledgeable, good at improvisation, and has good eloquence. Later, he was appreciated by Cao Cao and included in Cao Cao's shogunate, mainly formulating new canons, and also established a deep friendship with Cao Pi and Cao Zhi. Wang Xuan was the only one of the "Seven Sons of Jian'an" who was valued by Cao's father and son.

Wang Xuan was also the one with the highest achievements in the seven sons Chinese. His "Seven Lamentations" and "Seven Lamentations" express the voice of Cao's father and son. At the same time, he also expressed his ambition and ambition to make a meritorious career, Wang Xuan wrote more than sixty articles in his lifetime, and his poems were given as the crown of the seven sons of Jian'an, and he died of illness at the age of forty-one on the way to the conquest.

Xu Gan was an outstanding literary poet at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. He did not covet fame and fortune, but devoted himself to learning; he did not follow the tide, and in a simple house, he created brilliant literary works, which had a great influence on his future generations.

Ruan Yu, like Chen Lin, wrote essays for Cao Cao. However, Ruan Yu was not only a writer, but also a musician. Like Xu Gan, he casually found a logistical errand with Cao Cao when he was not in his career. Ruan Yu's poetry is simple in language and vivid in metaphor, and there are "Ruan Yuanyu Collection".

Ying Zhen was born in Shuxiang Mendi, and his ancestors were all erudite Confucians, and later became friends with Cao Pi Cao Zhi. Cao Cao greatly admired him, and sent him to Cao Zhi and Cao Pi's mansion many times to engage in literary reading and sorting out classics. Ying Zhen's performances include: "Requisition Endowment" and "Linghe Endowment", his words are passionate, he deeply sympathizes with the suffering brought by the war to the people, and expresses his desire for the reunification of the world.

Liu Zhen was a writer and poet in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. Ying avoided the chaos of war and came to Xuchang with his mother, because of his outstanding literary talent, he gradually gained popularity, and also knew Cao Zhi, Cao Zhi when he was a teenager, and admired Liu Zhen's profound knowledge. He was often invited to the Chancellor's Mansion to interpret the texts and sing poems and wines.

Cao Cao launched the order to seek merit, and literati inkers poured in, and Cao Pi set up a banquet to entertain many literati. Because Liu Zhen saw Lady Cao Pi and also came out to participate in the banquet, he stood without kneeling, and did not avoid looking down, he thought that Lady Cao Pi should not appear on such an occasion. Cao Pi was furious and reduced Liu Zhen to a hard laborer, and after encountering such ups and downs, Liu Zhen was still strong. And to cheer himself up in the poems, his works are actually ups and downs, the artistic conception is steep, and the spirit and wind bones are generously laid out. Let Liu Zhen poetry handsome and strange after contracting the plague and died, only thirty-eight years old.

The Jian'an period was the first period of literary flourishing in the history of the mainland in the true sense. The "Jian'an style" with a strong style had a major impact on the literary development of later generations. Sancao and Qizi were the mainstays of northern culture, leading the literary creation trend of the Three Kingdoms period and their literary achievements will forever be recorded in history.
