ForeVR Games, an independent studio founded in 2020 in Los Angeles, California, launched ForeVR Bowl and ForeVR Dart in May and December last year. Both games are based on bowling and darts, with realistic physics and social interaction elements.
Not long ago, ForeVR announced that it is developing 6 brand new VR games, 3 of which are expected to come out within 2022. According to the studio, its development team is "building the most creative version of real-world games that are making the world popular" — in other words, the new ForeVR game is likely to provide players with a similar experience to ForeVR Bowl and ForeVR Dart.
It is worth mentioning that to date, all foreVR games use Meta's avatar and progression system, and players can unlock new skin items during gameplay. In addition, foreVR-developed games have only landed on the Quest series of headsets, and the studio has never said whether it will develop PC VR or PSVR versions.
ForeVR also mentioned in the press release that the company currently employs 40 people and plans to launch a new round of funding later this year. Previously, the studio had completed a cumulative financing of $8.5 million.
