Haha cavity, also known as willow tone, drinking and drinking cavity, developed from folk songs. According to the inspection data of the relevant cultural departments in the Dezhou region of Shandong Province and the Baoding region of Hebei Province, as far back as the Ming Dynasty, the Haha Cavity was already popular in the counties of northwest Lu and the cangzhou area of Hebei Province, and extended to the counties and villages of the Baoding region of Hebei Province during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. From this point of view, haha cavity is a relatively old local drama. Haha cavity reached its peak in the late Qing Dynasty and early Min, and its development experienced two stages of local folk song and dance, folk drama, and finally finalized as a small play with the string song "Willow" as the singing cavity tune. Under the influence of different local languages and folk art, haha cavity gradually formed a three-way genre with different artistic styles and musical characteristics. On May 20, 2006, Haha Lu was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list
