It has been more than two weeks since I came to Zimbabwe to carry out TCM acupuncture work, and there is an endless stream of patients who come to make appointments every day, but because I am the only one in the current acupuncture treatment, I have to do the work of receiving, treating, pulling needles, and hygiene. At the end of the day, the workload is still quite large. But every time I see the eager and grateful eyes of the local people, and every time I hear patients say "feeling much better", I feel that my fatigue is completely gone, and I feel that everything I do is worth it and meaningful! Today is Saturday, here is a day off, after a busy week can finally take a break. I shared my work experience with my teammates from the previous week and made arrangements for the next week's work plan. At this time, the mobile phone message rings, and when I look at it, it turns out to be a patient's message: "Today I'm feeling much better than before" (today feels much better).

This is a patient with pain in the right half of the body, the pain is more than 8 years, and it is a persistent pain. I saw a doctor locally 8 years ago, found no abnormalities in the examination, and once took painkillers, but there was no effect. I have been enduring the pain, and when I came to the Chinese medicine center, I had a sad face. Medical resources are very scarce here, there is little equipment for examination, and it takes a long time to wait for the results after the examination. I have also treated patients with half-body pain in China, and I have a certain amount of experience, so I gave her acupuncture treatment, using the meridian toning acupuncture method, acupuncture the corresponding acupuncture points on the opposite side and apply techniques. After the needle was inserted, she said the pain in her right side was gone, and for the first time in 8 years, there was no pain. She asked half-heartedly if the needle contained medication. After explaining it to her, she exclaimed, "It's amazing!"

Due to the limited number of outpatient visits, she was asked to come back the next day for treatment. Yesterday when she came, she said that the pain in the right side of the body sometimes, sometimes not, she said that one acupuncture has an effect, it is simply incredible. So he continued to give her acupuncture and told her that a full recovery required a process. She gratefully said that acupuncture gave her hope and would insist on cooperating with the treatment. Today I received a message from a patient saying that it was a significant improvement over before.

As a doctor, the greatest sense of accomplishment comes from the patient, from the efficacy, from the self-confidence of Chinese medicine.

As a member of the medical team to aid Africa, the greatest sense of achievement comes from the realization of the original intention, from the affirmation of chinese medicine and acupuncture by the African people, and from the contribution to the friendship between China and Africa!
