Wang Zongheng did not expect that he would one day stay in the school to teach with his skills and become the first post-00s practical training teacher of Heilongjiang Forestry Vocational and Technical College. In December 2020, 20-year-old Wang Zongheng, who was still a student in school, represented Heilongjiang Province in the first National Vocational Skills Competition, winning a gold medal in the woodworking project, and the only gold medal won by the Heilongjiang delegation in this competition.

"Wang Zongheng is not only a child with high technical level and willingness to endure hardships, but also very serious and responsible when guiding his teammates, especially suitable for being a practical training teacher." Zhang Zhigang, dean of the School of Home Engineering of Heilongjiang Forestry Vocational and Technical College, observed Wang Zongheng for a period of time and began to mobilize Wang Zongheng to stay on campus to teach after the competition. After Wang Zongheng graduated in June this year, he officially became a practical training instructor at Heilongjiang Forestry Vocational and Technical College.

In fact, Wang Zongheng is not the first student in the school to stay in the school to teach after graduation, as early as 2017, the school proposed to leave special skilled talents in the school. At that time, Xu Yan, a post-95 young man who won the winning prize of the woodworking project of the 44th WorldSkills Competition, was the first graduate to stay in the school to teach with his own strength, and also became wang Zongheng's practical training instructor in the future.

"For such excellent and experienced skilled talents as Xu Yan and Wang Zongheng, we must break the 'threshold' of academic qualifications, leave them in Heilongjiang, and train more craftsmen from big countries." Zhang Zhigang said that it is in this way that the school gives students, vocational educators and young skilled talents confidence, and enhances the pride and honor of professional and vocational education.

Inherit the spirit of craftsmen in big countries

In October 2017, Xu Yan stood on the stage of the WorldSkills Competition, overcame the difficulties of environment, climate and venue, successfully completed the drawing and lofting of the competition topic, and according to the drawings provided by the organizers of the competition, perfectly produced a 2.7-meter-high, 1.4-meter-long and 1.4-meter-wide European-style pavilion within 22 hours, winning the winner of the carpentry project competition, becoming the first person in China to compete for the worldskilling competition woodworking project to win the prize. In the same year, Xu Yan was rated as "National Technical Expert" by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, "Longjiang Great Craftsman" by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and was hired as a practical teacher by Heilongjiang Forestry Vocational and Technical College.

As a student of Xu Yan, Wang Zongheng secretly made up his mind to learn from his teachers after entering the school, and was determined to train at the school's WorldSkills Competition base. Wang Zongheng's grandfather and grandfather were both carpenters, and he was full of interest in carpentry since he was a child. But when he actually began to study, Wang Zongheng found that the professional classes were not different from the carpentry he had been exposed to before. "Traditional carpentry is not so strict about data requirements, and the size of the gap in the professional arena cannot be the slightest difference." Wang Zongheng said.

"Every step must be precise, otherwise a little error will cause a very large cumulative error." Wang Zongheng told reporters that in order to improve his ability to read maps, he asked himself to be the first to train at the training base every day, and the last to leave. Sometimes when I return to the dormitory, I will use my free time to study the drawings that I did not understand during the day, and it is common to sleep at two or three o'clock at night, and even because of the sudden inspiration, I will not be able to sleep excitedly. Over the course of a year, Wang's weight has dropped from 110 kilograms to 80 kilograms.

Due to Wang Zongheng's excellent performance, in December 2020, he was selected by the school to participate in the first vocational skills competition of the People's Republic of China. Kung Fu pays off, Wang Zongheng's size and gap score are basically full scores, the margin of error is controlled in the width of a hair, and finally won the gold medal. This year, he was awarded the title of "National Technical Expert", and in the future, he will continue to study this skill, teach the skills and knowledge he has mastered to students, and pass on the spirit of the craftsmen of the big country.

Break the "academic qualification" threshold to leave talents

Since the news of Wang Zongheng staying in school to teach, many of his students have expressed their disbelief. Voices such as "The teacher is only two years older than me" and "the post-00 teacher is in the same frame as his post-00 students" appear from time to time...

For Wang Zongheng, he only felt that the burden on his body was heavier. "I didn't expect to one day become a colleague with a highly educated graduate student, but as a practical training instructor, I must work harder to improve my skill level and help students embark on the path of skill growth." Wang Zongheng told reporters.

It is understood that in recent years, in order to leave outstanding technical talents, Heilongjiang Vocational Forestry Technical College has specially introduced a set of standards for the introduction of special talents, relaxed the previous requirements for academic qualifications, fully supported students in school to participate in skill competitions, and mobilized students who have been selected for the World Championship national team to stay in school to teach and enrich the school's teaching team.

"In the process of cultivating students, we are also examining students in an all-round way, comprehensively considering many aspects such as skill level and personal personality, and finally opening up a green talent channel for outstanding skilled talents." But at the same time, Zhang Zhigang also admitted that students like Xu Yan and Wang Zongheng were difficult to achieve in the past to stay in school and become teachers. "In the past recruitment process, the threshold of the school was set at master's degree or above, and it must be professionally corresponding, passing a series of written tests and interviews organized by the school to enter the school."

It is reported that after learning that Wang Zongheng won the award, the school prepared a 100,000 yuan bonus for him to encourage, the purpose is to give students a guiding role, so that more students can grow into talents through the skill road, and realize skills to serve the country. "It is certainly desirable to retain people emotionally, but it is more important to retain people in the cause and treatment." Zhang Zhigang said.

In recent years, Heilongjiang Province has also issued policies many times to make the wallet of skilled talents "bulge". As early as 2018, the General Office of the Heilongjiang Provincial Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government issued a notice on the Implementation Opinions on Improving the Treatment of Skilled Workers, which clearly stated that it is necessary to improve the economic, social and political treatment of skilled workers, promote the improvement of the level of vocational skills of skilled workers, and improve the incentive mechanism for the evaluation and use of skilled workers.

"Break down the barriers between high-skilled talents and employing units, start from improving the income level of skilled talents, and actively promote income distribution reform." The relevant person in charge of the Heilongjiang Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department said that in the future, Heilongjiang Province will keep pace with the times, study and formulate policies and measures for the construction of a team of high-skilled talents, optimize a good policy environment and social atmosphere for the innovation of skilled talents, and strive to let more "big country craftsmen" stay in Heilongjiang.
