In art education, Xu Beihong advocated that students should be required to have strict basic training, cultivate students' overall observation methods, understand the internal structure of the body, and require deliberate sketching, preferring to square rather than round, seeking curves with straight lines, and making circles with planes.
This set of observation ability for beginners to build is very good, a tangent line to draw the apple, naturally than the student sketched out of the apple is much more accurate, because to trace the edge of the arc, with a strong arbitrariness, so that the circle is easy to lose the sense of unity.
