Nitr0 talks about the return: Liquid and CS are my eternal home

Q: How did it feel to return to CSGO?

Coming back after a little bit away from the game, I feel like there's a lot to re-learn because the previous focus was on VALORANT, so there wasn't much attention paid to CSGO.

Q: What kind of opportunity is this return based on? Is it just that Liquid gives you that opportunity or do you consider other teams?

If there is an invitation from another team, I will also consider it, but the other party happens to be Liquid, my old owner, so this does not need to be considered at all, and I do not hesitate at all. Before transforming VALORANT, I spent 5 and a half years at this club, knowing everyone here, agreeing with Liquid running the club's philosophy, here is no different from my own home, of course, in CSGO I can also find the warmth of home.

Q: Where do you think it's most challenging to return to CSGO from VALORANT?

I think the most challenging part is that I need to re-learn the habits of my opponents, I led Liquid to play with different opponents many times before leaving CSGO, and I have a clear understanding of the playing habits of some players, but now that two years have passed, many players' position selection and gun habits have changed a lot, so I can no longer use the impression of the past to judge, and this requires me to learn from scratch, which takes a lot of time.

Q: What is the learning process like? Mainly by watching demos?

Yes, most of this process will still rely on demos, and then it will be through a lot of practice matches. In addition, I also have personal techniques to strengthen myself, during the Christmas holidays I have been practicing my own aiming technique, after all, VALORANT and CSGO's ballistic and shooting mechanisms are different, which requires continuous practice to strengthen muscle memory.

Q: There are quite a few new faces in The Liquid lineup this time, among which you and Shox have played many times before, and this time you have become teammates, how do you feel?

Shox's personality reminds me of TACO, he is very comfortable, he has always given people a sense of optimism. His integration is going well, and the only thing that may need to be solved is the communication problem, after all, English is not his native language, but he has spoken quite well and can understand what we are saying, to be honest his English level is much better than I thought. Other than that, he's a good teammate.

Q: What qualities do you value most in shox?

Shox is an experienced player who often makes some bizarre endgame shots in our practice matches. His thinking about the game is clear, and when you look at his main perspective, you can find that his perspective on reading the game is very novel. As a free agent, he has an excellent sense of playing, can quickly detect the loopholes of opponents, can maintain a calm mind in the end of the game, and in general he is a good player in all aspects.

Q: Last question, do you think you learned anything from VALORANT that can be brought to CSGO?

I think the most important point is how to pinch a new team, I have been very stable in the lineup of Liquid in recent years, at least the core lineup has not changed, and when I transitioned to VALORANT, it was completely self-made, which is very similar to our current Liquid, there are several new faces in the team, I also have to re-know them, figure out their preferences, positions, and then start running charts again, running in, assigning positions, etc., although the process will be very difficult, But I believe that when the team is finished, we will also reap the joy of hard work.
