Amazon is working on a Blade Runner spin-off series, which Ridley Scott is expected to direct

On February 12, according to Interface News, Deadline reported that Amazon is developing the "Blade Runner 2099" episode as a sequel to "Blade Runner 2049" directed by Dennis Villeneuve. It was also the first live-action series in the Blade Runner series.

Blade Runner director Ridley Scott confirmed as executive producer and possibly as director. Silka Luisa serves as writer and executive producer. Producers include Amazon, Alcon Entertainment and Scott Free Productions.
