The International Court of Arbitration for Sport received an appeal for the reinstatement of Vallieva's ban

On the 12th, the International Olympic Committee issued a statement that the International Doping Inspection Agency and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) have separately filed a lawsuit with the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to reinstate the temporary ban decision on the Figure Skater Walieva of the Russian Olympic Committee team. Applications were confirmed to be received at 20:00 and 22:20 respectively on the 11th. CAS has an interim working group in Beijing, and the appeal will also be dealt with urgently in Beijing.

The final results will be released on February 15 ahead of the start of the figure skating women's singles short program competition. At present, Valieva is still in the stage of lifting her ban and can still train normally.

The Russian Olympic Committee delegation has also hired lawyers to try to get Vallieva to compete smoothly and keep the gold medal they won in the figure skating team competition.
