The "Snow Great Wall" is inspired by Shanhaiguan

After the start of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the "Great Wall of Snow" of the Genting Ski Park Snowboard Slope Obstacle Course attracted a lot of attention.

"This most prominent 'house' is the corner tower, which in ancient times was used in the Great Wall to store soldiers and ignite fires, and this shaping was inspired by the 'first pass in the world' of Shanhaiguan." Wang Shitong, deputy manager of mountain operation of Genting Ski Park, introduced.

Wang Shitong said that the mountain shaping work of Genting Ski Park is carried out by an international team of "Chinese and Western", with 36 top shapers in the world and more than 20 Chinese personnel. The most representative of the shaping work is the "Snow Great Wall" of the slope obstacle course. Part of it was already shown during last year's test match, and a complete work was deliberately made at this year's Winter Olympics.

According to reports, the "Snow Great Wall" is divided into three prop areas, each with a different style. From above, look down, first the beacon tower, then the corner tower, then the watchtower. The Wall Wall, which can be seen on the top left, has the function of windproofing in addition to a beautiful visual sense. The most prominent corner tower is also dual-purpose, in addition to the landscape it is also a prop, the athlete is to use this prop to slide over, and then complete the action of flipping down. Further down to see the watchtower, is a cannon barrel type prop, above which is the camera position and the referee position, this inspiration is also from the Shanhaiguan Fort, there are also carved a lot of waves at the bottom...

Wang Shitong said that their overall shaping idea is to reflect through Chinese elements that the slope obstacle course competition is held in China, so that the audience knows that this is the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.

Medical coverage is "almost top notch"

Genting Ski Park has been officially trained since January 30, and medical security work has been carried out simultaneously under scientific and accurate epidemic prevention measures. Wang Changqing, deputy director of medical treatment and epidemic prevention of Genting Venue Group, introduced that the venue has formulated a "fast, refined and efficient" rescue and treatment process in accordance with international standards. Up to now, a total of 11 people have been transferred to designated hospitals for examination and treatment, including 6 athletes. A total of two cases were treated surgically and the surgery was successfully completed.

According to reports, the risk of snow sports is high, so the Genting stadium group has set up more medical rescue points. More than 330 medical personnel and rescue team members were organized, and a total of 29 medical stations were set up, of which 25 were FOP medical stations on the track. At the same time, 12 ambulances and 2 helicopters were equipped to transport and rescue.

Wang Changqing said that there are two key time nodes in medical security work: first, after the athletes are injured, the time for ski doctors and patrol members to reach the injured athletes cannot exceed 4 minutes; second, from the FOP medical station of the ski track to the fixed medical station to the emergency transfer and designated hospital, the entire track rescue time does not exceed 20 minutes. "At present, the time for the relevant personnel of our Genting stadium group to reach the injured athletes can be within 2 minutes, and the first aid response is very timely." Wang Changqing said that through repeated on-site investigation and demonstration, the rescue process was optimized, which significantly shortened the rescue time and improved the efficiency of treatment. Not long ago, a test skater was transferred from the track injury to the designated hospital, the whole process was completed in 19 minutes, each link was interlocked, in one go, a good proof of the rapid response, treatment ability and level of the medical team.

For the medical security level of the Genting stadium group, the relevant person in charge of the International Snow Federation also gave a high evaluation, believing that it was "almost top-notch".
