Yantai, 16 September 2021 – Legendary Italian supercar Ferrari has embarked on a spectacular test drive in Yantai on the shores of the Bohai Sea with its new 2+ GT Spider model, the Portofino M. During this unforgettable journey, horse-jumpers and media guests rode Ferrari's latest roadster along the north coast coast of the Shandong Peninsula, the leisurely trails in the vineyards and the high-speed national highway, enjoying the beautiful natural scenery and exotic atmosphere of the Jiaodong area.

With its stunning ecological landscape, Yantai is ideal for this test drive. From romantic Western-style architecture to picturesque coastal beaches, the scenery is breathtaking. Escorted by the Prancing Horse's new GT sports car, guests enjoyed a comfortable driving experience in this beautiful harbor city. Yantai's unique natural scenery and cultural atmosphere are reminiscent of the charming portofino town along the Italian Riviera coastal area, and the name of the Portofino M model is derived from this. On the eve of the test drive, guests had the privilege of enjoying a unique welcome feast, presented by domaine de Long Dai in the heart of the Hills Valley. As Asia's only Chateau Lafite-Rothschild vineyard, the beautiful Chateau de Lafite also showcases the unique boutique Vineyard, exquisite winemaking craftsmanship, vivid interpretation of the deep and long-standing wine culture - the pursuit of excellence, emphasis on individual charm and elegance, is in line with the Portofino M representative of Ferrari's brand spirit of excellence and innovation.
Under the guidance of professional Ferrari instructors, the guests rode the Portofino M against the background of the blue sea and blue sky and the fresh sea breeze, and enjoyed the connotation and charm of the model of "Indulgence Exploration and Life".
The letter "M" in portofino M's name is derived from the Italian word "modificata", meaning "upgrade", which Ferrari used to name its constantly new and enhanced Prancing Horse sports car. The Portofino M's high-profile optimizations include a redesigned powertrain, a new 8-speed transmission and a Manettino control knob with five modes, including the Race – the first time the Prancing Horse brand has applied this configuration to its GT Spider models, with the aim of further enhancing the car's already superior handling and grip performance. In addition, the 3855cc engine is based on the Prancing Horse's award-winning V8 turbocharged engine family, which has won the "International Engine of the Year Award" for four consecutive years. The new engine has been optimised to produce up to 620 cv output at 7500 rpm. The Portofino M has a top speed of more than 320 km/h, 3.45 seconds for 100 km/h and 9.8 seconds for 0-200 km/h.
With its sporty character and compact body design, this Prancing Horse masterpiece delivers exceptional agility and outstanding all-round road conditions. At the same time, the GT sports car is equipped with innovative features including Ferrari Advanced Driving Assistant Systems and ventilated/heated seats, designed to maximize driving pleasure, perfectly blending pure GT performance with driving comfort.
Thanks to the foldable hardtop convertible (RHT), the iconic design element of the Prancing Horse Roadster, the Ferrari Portofino M reveals the original taste of the hardtop sports car when the convertible is closed, while the open-top reveals the purely romantic nature of the convertible sports car, perfectly interpreting the excellent design concept of "two souls in one".

About Château Dei
Château Dei Lafite is the first Asian estate developed by the Raffi Rothschild Group and currently has 34 hectares of vineyards (in continuous expansion). The word "瓏岱" carries the hopes of the Rothschild family, "瓏", meaning "stone into jade", is the perfect combination of natural terroir and artificial carving, "Dai", not only refers to the green mountains and mountains that give birth to high-quality wines, but also the ancient name of Mount Tai, which is a tribute to the glorious history of the land of Qilu. It was conceived by nature and was born after careful cultivation by man. The name is a reference to the Rothschilds' winemaking philosophy: to create precious treasures through the simple gifts of nature.
The winery is located in the heart of the Qiushan Valley in Northeastern China's Shandong Province. The climate is hot and influenced by the Yellow Sea, which is only 20 kilometers away. The region relies heavily on agriculture, and the granite soil is ideal for growing vines. The terroir of the hill is unique and is based on granite and is ideal for growing grapes. It inherits its unique complexity, and when the grapes are fully ripe, they are skillfully picked in the form of artificial stubble. Subsequently, the liquor will undergo an 18-month aging process in French oak barrels. Oak barrels are custom-made by the family's cooperage.
