Snowboarding (Snow Lesson)

Snowboarding is a snow competition that uses a piece of snowboard as a tool to quickly slew down a prescribed slope line, or to complete various difficult maneuvers in the air by means of a ski jump in a special field. The sport is thought to have originated in Michigan, USA in the 1960s, and its emergence was associated with skateboarding and surfing.

At the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, snowboarding was listed as an official sport. Snowboarding at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics has a total of men's and women's U-shaped track skills, slope obstacle skills, parallel giant slalom, big jump and obstacle chase, etc., resulting in a total of 11 gold medals, of which the obstacle chase mixed team competition is a new event of the Beijing Winter Olympics. Except for the big jumping competition, which will be held at the Shougang Ski Jump in Beijing, which is full of "industrial style", the rest will be held in the Genting Ski Park in Zhangjiakou Division.

Liu Jiayu is a well-known snowboarder in China. In March 2007, she won the silver medal in the U-Shaped Track Skills Competition of the Snowboarding World Cup in Calgary, Canada. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, she finished fourth.
