Beiqing: During the Asian Games, the Chinese Football Association may introduce the U23 "reduction" preferential policy

According to the Beijing Youth Daily, in order to avoid the impact of the transfer of U23 players to participate in the Asian Games on teams, the Football Association is likely to launch a "reduction" preferential policy for U23 players to appear in the new season.

According to the current communication, the new season of the Chinese Super League will kick off around April 23, and it is planned to end at the latest on November 13. If the Chinese Super League confirms that it can start in late April, there will only be two international matchday cycles during the season, from May 30 to June 14 and from September 19 to 27.

Since September 7-25 is the competition cycle of the Hangzhou Asian Games football competition, the first 12 days of this cycle (September 7-18) are non-FIFA national team matchday cycles, so the Chinese Super League will not be suspended during this period. However, considering that most of the players representing the U23 national football team in the Hangzhou Asian Games are the main force or main substitutes of professional league clubs at all levels, the Chinese Football Association and the China Football Federation are likely to introduce "reduction and exemption" preferential policies as appropriate in implementing the method of U23 player appearance in the league.
