In order to thoroughly implement the guiding ideology of General Secretary Xi Jinping's "let cultural relics come alive", show readers the archaeological achievements of Jinan over the years, reveal the historical development context of Jinan, and carry forward the profound cultural achievements and superb production technology of the ancient Jinan region and even the Chinese nation, the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute decided to publish a series of books for cultural relics of different textures in combination with the actual work to better publicize the ancient civilization of Jinan. After the "Jade Ware", the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute has systematically sorted out and studied the copper mirrors and copper coins in the courtyard, completed the two books of "Jinan Mirror Classic" and "Jinan Ancient Money", and recently published and printed, so that all kinds of precious cultural relics can go out of the warehouse and go to the society in the form of books.
According to Guo Junfeng, vice president of the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute, the two books "Jinan Mirror Jian" and "Jinan Ancient Money" are a summary of the results of ancient copper mirrors and ancient currencies excavated by archaeological excavations in the 24 years since the establishment of the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute in 1997, and at the same time, it is also the first systematic collection and preliminary study of copper mirrors and currencies in Jinan.
The whole book of "Jinan Mirror Book" takes time as the main line, summarizes and analyzes the phased characteristics and regional characteristics of copper mirrors excavated from the Warring States to the Ming Dynasty in Jinan, and studies related issues such as copper mirror ornaments and inscriptions. This book selects 121 copper mirrors for introduction, mainly introducing the origin of the copper mirror, the era to which it belongs, the detailed description of the artifacts, with pictures and original proportion rubbings, the information of the copper mirror is presented to the reader in an all-round way, so that the reader has a more intuitive and profound understanding of the ancient artistic achievements of the copper mirror.
By combing the currency excavation in Jinan, "Jinan Ancient Money" conducts a preliminary study on the ancient social economy of Jinan from the Warring States to the Republic of China period reflected in the currency, and selects 164 numismatic specimens from 23 projects excavated by the Jinan Archaeological Research Institute to introduce them, including information such as the location of currency excavation, minting time, size and weight, and is accompanied by high-definition pictures and original proportion rubbings, which is convenient for readers to read and compare.
The two books "Jinan Mirror Classic" and "Jinan Ancient Money" have high readability and appreciation, which are not only professional research books, but also have strong attraction for general readers.
