With the rise of intelligent manufacturing, new energy construction and high-end equipment manufacturing in the capital, the demand for industrial lubricants is also further increasing.

In recent days, the reporter walked into the first batch of state-level green factories Xinjiang Falk Oil Co., Ltd. (referred to as Fokker Oil) to investigate and found that the innovation and green changes of enterprises have helped the city's traditional advantageous industries to further transform and upgrade to green and low-carbon.

Under the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, green manufacturing is an inevitable choice for manufacturing. The city actively promotes the efficient recycling of resources, promotes the application of green manufacturing technology, improves the level of green manufacturing, actively builds a green manufacturing system, and promotes the green development, low-carbon development and circular development of the real economy.

Low-carbon green "run" moving car

On February 9, at the Fokker Oil Laboratory, technician Yu Zhaoliang dripped lubricating oil into the connection device and passed it through the inflow tube into the analyzer. After 180 seconds, the lubricating oil cools down to -35 °C, and then observes for another 60 seconds.

"You see, within 60 seconds, the speed has not decreased, this is the 0W20 lubricating oil we specially developed for the National VI car." Yu Zhaoliang said and put the lubricating oil in the measuring instrument back into the bottle to complete the test.

Yu Zhaoliang introduced, "0W20" indicates the viscosity of the oil. Among them, "W" represents the oil used in winter; the "0" before the "W" represents the viscosity of the oil at low temperatures, the smaller the value, the stronger the fluidity at low temperatures, the stronger the cold tolerance; "20" refers to the viscosity at 100 °C, the greater the viscosity, the stronger the high temperature resistance. The development of this lubricating oil is to apply to the new generation of "National VI" standard power system and the actual needs of Xinjiang's winter cold.

From July 1, 2021, the official implementation of the "China VI" emission standards has pressed the fast-forward button for the technical changes of the engine. At present, automakers are using methods such as engine downsizing, increasing turbocharging, reducing part friction and exhaust gas aftertreatment to further improve the fuel economy of vehicles to meet low carbon emission requirements.

"Lubricants must keep up with market demand and also need low-carbon green development. Last year, we jointly carried out technical research with a number of scientific research units, and developed 0W20 lubricating oil after hundreds of experiments. Yan Xiaohu, chief engineer of the company, said that after a series of laboratory simulation tests and field tests, this product is expected to be officially put into production and listing within this year.

How lubricants pry the energy-saving lever

In the laboratory, Yan Xiaohu pointed to a lubricating oil on the booth and said that this organic molybdenum energy-saving lubricant has been put into production for many years and is one of the company's star products. Using this lubricant can reduce the fuel consumption of the car by 2.5%.

The R&D process is much more difficult than it is. The company has successively carried out technical cooperation with the Xinjiang Institute of Physics and Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing University of Technology, Xinjiang University and other institutes and universities.

The technical team faces failures almost every day, and trial after trial consumes not only a lot of high-priced raw materials, but also a lot of time.

At that time, the benefits of Fokker oil products were basically in a state of subsistence, on a grease production line, to develop to shut down production, a shutdown at least half a month to a month, customer orders are delayed again and again, the production department, sales department are unwilling, and even some people resign.

"We must take a long-term view." Yan Xiaohu said that at that time, it was a hard scalp to insist, and finally developed the organic molybdenum energy-saving lubricant product.

In 2005, the company targeted the industrial oil market. Good performance of industrial gear grease can effectively help extend the oil change cycle and gear service life, help greatly reduce the number of oil changes, reduce production and operating costs, and help enterprises save energy and reduce emissions.

Meng Yujiang, the manager of the sales department, still remembers that the first time he talked about industrial oil was a mine in Hami, and he ran 6 times. It is also that mine that ordered 20,000 yuan of grease in the first year, because of the good product quality, and directly ordered 200,000 yuan of products the next year.

Nowadays, some of the high-end products developed by Fokker Oils, such as high-performance ester synthetic lubricants, have been used in enterprises such as Bus Group, Bayi Iron and Steel, and Kunlun Tire.

It is necessary to be both "green" and "rich". The reporter learned from the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology (Big Data Development Bureau) that in recent years, various industries and enterprises in Urumqi have worked together to accelerate the pace of industrial green transformation and promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries to green.

Tu Jing, general manager of Fokker Oil Products, said that the high-end lubricants used by some enterprises in Xinjiang were expensive, and now after using high-performance ester synthetic lubricants, not only can the cost be reduced by 2/3, but also greatly reduce the pollution to the environment.

Hundreds of experiments, for one parameter

Walking into the Fokker oil workshop, the fully automatic production line is fully produced, and the grease and cleaning fluid used in the cotton picker are being filled.

"This is a product that we specially developed for cotton pickers in 2018." Yan Xiaohu said.

Agricultural mechanization is an important material support for the development of modern agriculture, and plays a very important role in replacing manpower, saving costs and increasing efficiency, integrating the application of agricultural technology and promoting large-scale operation.

According to the data of the Autonomous Region Agricultural and Rural Mechanization Development Center, nearly 1,000 new cotton pickers will be added in Xinjiang in 2021, the highest growth rate in the calendar year, and the total number of cotton pickers will be nearly 7,000.

In the process of cotton picking by the cotton picker, the cotton is plucked from the cotton stalk, and then the cotton is taken off from the cotton stalk by the reverse operation of the cotton removal plate. If the ingot is not cleaned and lubricated in time, it will be easy to wind the cotton, and the addition of cleaning liquid and grease will greatly reduce the wear of the transmission system.

"Because we had enough experience in the past, we adjusted the formulation and parameters and developed the grease and cleaning fluid for the cotton picker." Yan Xiaohu said.

However, in the process of product use, the effect in the cotton fields of northern and southern Xinjiang is different - the northern Xinjiang region is cleaned, but the southern Xinjiang region is not clean, what is the reason?

Yan Xiaohu said that from experience, they believe that it is a water quality problem. Went to the scene, after continuous comparison, they determined that the water quality caused the cleaning to be unclean.

Yan Xiaohu and the team retrieved the local water, took it to the laboratory, adjusted the ratio according to different hard water, and after hundreds of experiments, finally found that the formula under 15 degrees of hard water was comparable to the effect of use in southern Xinjiang.

"The adjusted products have brought multiplication orders to enterprises." Yan Xiaohu said that the company's cotton harvester lubricating oil now accounts for about 15% of the market share in Xinjiang, which greatly reduces the cost of users.

This year, Urumqi will adhere to green and low-carbon development, focus on the goals of "carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality", focus on improving the policy system, optimize the industrial structure and energy structure, promote the synergy of pollution reduction and carbon reduction, and promote the conservation and intensive and efficient use of energy resources.
