George Seurat
Georges Seurat
Born in Paris on 2 December 1859, he had a full beachurch education in the Academy of Fine Arts, studied classical painting under Ingres' student Henri Lehmann, and later studied the works of the masters in the Louvre, paying special attention to light and color theory and doing a lot of experiments with it, perhaps because he was too devoted to methodological and theoretical research, he did not produce many works in his life.
Seurat lived in the early days of the Impressionist school and promoted the development of Impressionism. Some argue that Seurat's death in May 1891 marked the end of "Neo-Impressionism". His study of color made his work layered, and he himself became a representative of the Neo-Impressionist school, the pointillist school. His theories and techniques have had a non-negligible influence on later generations of artists.

Seurat, the founder of Neo-Impressionism, sought the effect of color grading by stacking small dots on the canvas that corresponded to the interaction of the environment, sunlight, and color, and delved into the basic theoretical knowledge related to color, such as the law of contrast, pointillism, solid color, and optical color grading, and "A Sunday on the Island of the Great Bowl" is one of his most representative works.
