Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the National Working Committee for Caring for the Next Generation at All Levels (hereinafter referred to as the Customs Work Committee) has conscientiously implemented the decision-making and deployment of the Party Central Committee on caring for the work of the next generation and the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, united and mobilized the vast number of retired comrades such as veteran cadres, veteran soldiers, old experts, old teachers, and old models (hereinafter referred to as the "five olds") to participate in the work of caring for the next generation, and made positive contributions to supporting and helping young people grow into talents. Give full play to the advantages of history and culture in various places, make good use of historical and cultural heritage, especially historical relics and traditional festivals, vigorously carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, guide young people to feel the charm of Chinese culture, and inherit the traditional Chinese virtues. Deeply carry out the theme activities of "fastening the first button of life", "big hands holding small hands", and "building the Chinese dream together for the old and young", extensively organize the study and publicity of "good teenagers in the new era", give play to the exemplary and leading role of advanced models, and inspire and educate young people with noble moral spirit and value pursuit.
(6) Strengthen juvenile rule of law education and protection of rights and interests. The Customs Work Committee should properly perform its statutory duties stipulated in the Law on the Protection of Minors and the Law on the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency. Continue to carry out "Care for Tomorrow, Popularize the Law First" youth rule of law publicity and education activities, promote rule of law education into schools, rural areas, communities, families, and enterprises, and educate and guide young people to establish awareness of respecting the law, studying the law, abiding by the law, and using the law.
