In Hainan in December, the weather was slightly cool, there was already a hint of chill in the air, but the training ground of the mobile detachment was very hot, and a quarterly military training competition was underway, which was a contest between hot-blooded boys.
"On weekdays, everyone says that we must fight for honor for the squadron, and the quarterly military training competition and examination is a very good time..." Before the examination, Squadron Leader Wang Sheng made a mobilization speech passionately, and a small man standing at the back of the line clenched his fists and riveted enough to do a big job.

"Get on the machine!" With a command, a thin figure appeared on the horizontal bar. At first, there were 4 soldiers in the same group who were examined together, and everyone did not notice this green face, but as time passed, this thin figure became more and more courageous.

Xie Zhihong's arms were trembling, sweat kept slipping, and he supported himself with a strong will to continue to "fight". In the end, Xie Zhihong, a private who had only been in the army for 9 months, beheaded many masters and achieved good results.
Practice diligently on the training ground from failing to being perfect
Enlisted in the army in March, lowered in June, after 3 months of trial and error, Xie Zhihong has grown into a "top soldier". When he first got off the company, Xie Zhihong had both excellent military and political qualities, and soon stood out from his comrades-in-arms and won unanimous praise from the backbone cadres of the squadron.

One day in early September, the squadron organized a general pentathlon exercise, and Xie Zhihong wanted to show his hand and let his comrades open their eyes. Unexpectedly, the horizontal bar pull-up examination was only completed by 10, the results were not passed, Xie Zhihong was eager to find a seam to drill into, and the severe criticism of the squad leader made him begin to reflect deeply on his shortcomings.
In the face of the blow, Xie Zhihong's heart was full of loss, but he was not discouraged, and the fierce strength in his bones that did not accept defeat was awakened. 5 kilometers can not run, weight-bearing clothes, sweat suits have become his second layer of skin; poor basic strength, every day before going to bed to do 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, thunder can not move; the equipment is not passed, he stays on the bar for half an hour...
Xie Zhihong's training results ranged from passing at the beginning to being excellent in all subjects, with 22 minutes and 30 seconds of five-kilometer armed cross-country, 18 horizontal bar pull-ups, 55 parallel bar end arm flexion, and 48 meters of grenade standing position. When he was selected in the fourth quarter military training competition, Xie Zhihong did not have the slightest timidity, calmly walked onto the examination field, competed with more than 200 "training tops" of the detachment, and won the first place with a perfect performance, and was awarded the third class merit.
