Kuroshio Town, Hata Prefecture, Kochi Prefecture - Kaino NoBuchi Station

The Station is located in Kuroshio-cho, Hata-gun, Kochi Prefecture, and is part of the Tosa Kuroshio Railway Nakamura Line. It is said that the name of this station comes from the Kamakura period when Prince Maeyoshi, the crown prince of Emperor Go-Daigo, was greeted here. From the platform on the high platform, you can see the beautiful coast that once greeted the king.

King of the Sea greets the platform with Tosa Bay

After the Izukawa Station I introduced in the previous article, the one that got off is the "Sea King Greeting" station. From the carved valley you can see the stations of Tosa Bay.

The "King of the Sea" station was opened in 2003( Heisei 15). It is the newest station on the Nakamura Line.

"King of the Sea" This unique station name seems to derive from an allusion to the Kamakura period. It is said that when Emperor Go-Daigo's crown prince, Prince Shōryō, was swept away by Tosa, it was this place that landed (for reference). By the way, the adjacent Tosa Kamikawaguchi Station and Ukiwa Station are also stations where you can see the sea.

It is an uninhabited station, with no hall or waiting room, only 1 small platform, benches facing the direction of the mountain.

From the platform of the Sea King Ying Station, you can see Tosa Bay and Wang Ying Community

The platform is about 20 meters above sea level. A clean paved ramp leads to National Highway 56. The hill on the left side of the photo is a mixed-use town called Wang Ying Community. The opening of the King of the Sea Ying Station is likely to be due to the existence of the Wang Ying Community.

In front of the ramp is the coast that greets Prince Zunliang. Then, a ridge can be seen on the opposite bank of the curved coastline.

There is a small bicycle parking and vending machines in front of the station. There are no shops. Terraces stretch over the slopes of the railroad tracks.

Leave the station and try to walk towards the sea. The slope stretches all the way up the hill.

Located next to The King of the Sea Station, Kochi Southwest Transportation "King's Shore" bus stop

On the seashore of National Route 56, there is the "Wang Wu Hama" bus stop for kochi Southwest Traffic. Buses run in parallel from Tosa Saga Station to Nakamura Station, but they are not serviced on Sundays and holidays, and the number of buses is small. If you want to save time, we recommend walking to Tosa Kamikawaguchi Station next to the express train (about a 20-minute walk).

There is a monument written "Prince Zunliang Royal Land"

See a monument to the "Prince Zunliang Landing Ground" near the "Wang Wuzhibin" bus stop.

The beach "King's Shore" is a beautiful sandy beach. The sea is also crystal clear.

Although it has a certain length, I didn't see anyone. Waiting for the train on the quiet beach also seemed like a nice experience.

Wang Ying Community

Another day, climb up the slope from the station, pass through the Wang Ying community, and go to the nearby Tosa Kamikawaguchi Station. From the beginning of the small uninhabited station, it was unimaginable that there was a beautiful park that was expanding beyond my imagination.

It's a nice hill near the station with a beautiful view of the sea.

Looking through the clouds after the rain, the sunset revealed its face. The smog against the silhouette of the mountain is also mysterious. Seeing this beautiful scene really makes me a little envious of the way people here can enjoy this scenery every day.
