According to the Paris Match, the French National Bureau of Statistics (Insee) recently studied the French people's life happiness index from the aspects of housing, leisure, family, friendship and work, each with a full score of 10 points.
On February 9, france's National Institute of Statistics released the results of a survey showing that French people living in large cities are more satisfied with life, with the exception of residents of the Paris area. In this survey by the French National Statistical Office, overall, the French are more satisfied with life, giving a high score of 7.3, which remains basically unchanged compared to 2010. In terms of housing, leisure, family, friendship, and work, satisfaction gradually declined as the age of the respondents increased. But in people around 60, satisfaction rebounded.

Depending on the family situation, partners with children or without children live happier lives happier. Happiness in life is much higher than for single people (-0.46, compared to partners with children) and single-parent families (-0.57). From the perspective of men and women, men are satisfied with leisure life (+0.38) and work (+0.10), and women are more satisfied with family and friends (+0.12).
The investigators also found that the people living the least happily were Parisians, followed by smaller cities with a population of between 50,000 and 200,000 people. Conversely, the happiest are the French living in large cities (with a total population of more than 700,000 inhabitants) and larger cities (between 200,000 and 700,000 people).
