On the same day, photography enthusiast Shao Fuchen accidentally photographed a white-fronted goose in the Nanhe River on the outskirts of Hulunbergen River. From the picture, on the green grass next to the riverbank, a large white-fronted goose is foraging, its upper body is covered with gray-brown feathers, its lower body is white, pacing its soothing steps, pecking at the grass on the shore, and sometimes looking around to observe the danger.

Shao Fuchen introduced: "I have been involved in bird photography since 2015, and I have photographed more than 250 species of birds in Daxing'anling, and this is the first time I have encountered white-fronted geese. The white-fronted goose is a sub-adult bird, mainly distributed along the coast of China, and is rare in the north. ”

The white-fronted goose is a winter migratory bird in China and is a national second-level key protected wild animal in China, breeding in the Arctic tundra belt. Usually the time to reach China is in late September and early October, and the time for a large number of migrations is in mid-to-late October, and the migration distance is relatively long.
