Yesterday (9th), CNOOC released the news that the first sea trial operation of the mainland's deep-water plough trencher was successful in the sea area of Yacheng, Hainan, filling the technical gap of the plough-type trenching of the mainland's deep-water submarine pipeline.
The plough type trencher in this sea trial is currently the only deep-water submarine pipeline plough type trencher in China, and it is also one of the most powerful plough type trenchers in the world. The projection area of the equipment exceeds 3 standard badminton courts, the self-weight is 180 tons, the maximum working water depth is 500 meters, and the maximum depth of trenching can reach 2.5 meters.
Submarine pipeline transportation is the most important, fastest and most economical and reliable way to transport offshore oil and gas. The sea test took the 3,000-meter multi-functional deepwater engineering ship "Offshore Oil 291" as the operating mother ship, simulated the real sea pipe trenching scene, and carried out a series of test operations such as pipeless trenching, piped single trenching, pipe secondary trenching, steering trenching and so on.
