Recently, the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the "2021 National Art Museum Collection Boutique Exhibition Season Outstanding Project List", the exhibition "Wuhan in Memory - A Humanistic Picture of a City" sponsored by Hubei Art Museum was rated as an excellent project (10 projects in the country were evaluated), in this collection of fine exhibition season activities, Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism was once again rated as an excellent organizational unit, Hubei Art Museum, Wuhan Art Museum, Three exhibition projects of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum were selected for the National Art Museum Collection Exhibition Season (30 projects in the country were selected).
Since the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched the National Art Museum Collection Exhibition Season in 2012, Hubei Art Museum has been selected 9 times, of which 5 have been rated as excellent projects: "Lacquer World - Hubei Art Museum Collection Lacquer Art Works Exhibition" in 2014, "Beauty in the Folk - Works and Documents of Arts and Crafts Educator Zhang Lang in hubei art museum collection" in 2017, "Fables - Liu Zhengde Sculpture Art Exhibition" in 2018, "Art Road Fusion Heart - Hubei Art Museum Collection Zhu Dacheng Sculpture Works Exhibition" in 2019, 2021 "Wuhan in Memory : A Humanistic Picture of a City".

"Wuhan in Memory : A Humanistic Picture of a City"
"Wuhan in Memory - Humanistic Picture of a City" as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's 2021 National Art Museum Collection Exhibition Season Project, based on the works collected by Hubei Art Museum, focuses on presenting about 80 works related to the regional landscape and humanistic picture of Wuhan, including the creation of local artists and the works of artists who are closely related to Wuhan in the development of regional art. With the aim of combing through regional art, exploring the source of urban spirit, and encouraging inheritance and innovation, the exhibition is divided into three parts: "Wuhan Image", "Humanistic River City" and "Song of Life".

This exhibition is an active exploration of the revitalization of collections with the thinking path of "image evidence history", and traces the history and humanities of Wuhan, a heroic city, since the founding of New China. From the objective presentation of urban style to the accumulation and sorting out of cultural landscapes, to the great and indomitable spirit of life and the narration of the touching stories behind it, the exhibition on the one hand connects the scenes in the development and changes of the city and explores the historical significance behind the images; at the same time, through image memory, explores the formation of the city's spiritual character and the source of regional cultural development, so as to further carry forward the excellent tradition and stimulate literary and artistic innovation.
