The history of the bad country is rarely recorded in the annals of history and has long been unknown. In order to unveil the mystery of the history of the bad country, the "Legend of Hanhuai - The Essence of the Bronze Ware of the Bad country" specially held by the Shanghai Museum today was officially opened. In addition to the collection of the Museum, a total of 60 bronzes from institutions and individuals such as the National Museum of China, Suizhou City Museum, Zhengzhou Museum, and Nanyang Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology were seconded, spanning from the early Western Zhou Dynasty to the early Spring and Autumn Period. The earliest record of the Kingdom of Xia appears in the Chronicle of Yin Benji, in which the Kingdom of Evil interacted with merchants at the end of yin and was a vassal of the Shang Kingdom with the Zhou people. The Marquis of E, ranked third duke, was an ancient clan, quite powerful, but it was short-lived in the literature. Yang Zhigang, director of the Shanghai Museum, said that only these physical objects and bronze inscriptions on display can now find traces of the bad country that can be traced.
What we see in the historical documents is the abbreviation "E" in Hubei; what we see in the inscriptions and scriptures of the excavated bronzes is "nightmare", the "nightmare" of the 4 mouths. Experts now undoubtedly believe that the "bad" in this scripture is the "E" in the Hubei abbreviation in the later literature. ”
The first part, "The Badhou Family", exhibits bronze artifacts excavated in 2007, when an early Western Zhou tomb was found in Anju Yangzi Mountain in Suizhou, Hubei Province. Among them, 9 pieces are cast with the inscription "Badhou", which is the tomb of a generation of badhou. This time, Shangbo spent a lot of effort to frame these bronze inscriptions and display them together next to the cultural relics. Wei Xinying, deputy research librarian of the Shangbo Bronze Ware Research Department, pointed to the first inscription of the "Badhou Fangxuan" in the entrance and introduced:
"This is a combination of wine vessels from the early Western Zhou Dynasty, a statue of two, usually accompanied by a silk, sometimes with a round gourd, and then it is a combination of square silk, and the words of the square are used by people with more noble status."
It is worth mentioning that the bronze ware of the Nightmare Kingdom creates a unique and unique artistic style with the strange pattern of the animal face "human eye", which has achieved the peak of the early bronze craft of the Nightmare Country. Among them, there is a type of artifact with a "divine face pattern", which is not seen in bronzes in other regions. Wei Xinying took a pair of animal face tattoos as an example: Realistic human faces, mysterious smiles, coupled with ghostly blue rust, presented a strange and unique cultural outlook, bringing the long-lost nightmare country back to the historical stage.
"It has the eyes of this man, then the eyebrows of man, and then the nose of man, but its ears are the ears of a tiger, and then there will be fangs protruding from underneath him, and then there will be the feet of a beast above it." In addition, the rust color on this artifact is very special, he has partly exposed this original copper color, and some of it is because of the soil or moisture of such a pH, the rust color that forms it is a blue, green or even purple such a hue, which is very special. ”
