Jerry West: I was lucky enough to work with Bass Sr. The draft pick is the lifeblood of the NBA

Feb. 10 - Clippers senior consultant Jerry West, NBA star, visited the Clippers' new arena site in Inglewood today and gave an interview.

Commenting on what the new arena means to the Clippers, West said: "Thanks to Ballmer for his concern for the players, his generosity has freed the Clippers players from having to share a stadium with other teams. ”

"Ballmer is the ultimate contender, and I haven't seen many people like him."

Speaking about his relationship with the Lakers, West said: "I was lucky that I had the opportunity to work with The Elder Bath, who is an incredible person. ”

Speaking about the Clippers' struggle for the championship, West said: "Last year we made the Western Conference Finals, and Leonard hasn't played yet, maybe we can play a few more games to win the championship. ”

When asked to give some advice to a team that is rebuilding, West said draft picks are the lifeblood of the NBA.
