Winter Olympics
In 1963, China joined the International Hockey Federation. In March 1981, the Chinese men's national team competed in Group C of the World Championships in Beijing. In the competition, the Chinese team defeated Denmark, Bulgaria and Austria respectively, and then defeated France, Hungary, The United Kingdom and North Korea in a row, achieving 7 wins and 6 wins and 1 loss, winning the second place and successfully advancing to Group B. Head coach
On July 30, 2021, Ivano Saneta was officially appointed as the head coach of Beijing Kunlun Hongxing Vanke Dragon Team, and he was also appointed as the head coach of the Chinese men's ice hockey team by the Winter Sports Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport.
As a player, Zanetta played almost always in the Italian league. As a member of the Italian national team, he competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France, and twice at the World Championships (1992 and 1993). In 1996, Zanetta began his coaching career. In 2003 he led the team to the Swiss League Championship. From 2006 to 2008, Zanetta led the team to two more Swiss league titles as manager.
In addition, Zanetta has coached the St. Petersburg Army, the Army Junior Team, and the Prague Lions. Since then, Sochi coach Sergei Zubov has also invited Zanetta to join the coaching staff.
