Apple is out of black technology again! The "Tap Pay" function is about to be launched in the United States

On February 8, local time, Apple announced on its official website that it would launch the "Tap to Pay" function on the iPhone, which is a contactless payment method.

This innovative financial service will further simplify the payment process. At checkout, customers only need to move their iPhone close to the merchant's iPhone to complete the payment. Currently, merchants using contactless payments on iPhones must rely on additional hardware such as Square Reader. When this feature is turned on, payments will be done securely via NFC technology, without the need for any additional hardware or a separate payment terminal.

Apple's "Tap Pay" feature will be the first to be launched in the U.S. later this year. At that time, users with iPhone XS and above devices can turn on this feature. Online payment platform Stripe will be the first to offer this feature to its enterprise customers. Other payment platforms and apps such as Shopify will follow suit at a later stage.
