PetroChina's affiliated enterprise won the bid for the ground general contracting project of Uganda Oilfield

On February 8, Beijing time, the "cloud signing" ceremony of the 3-pack EPC EPC general contract of uganda's Kingfisher oilfield project was held simultaneously in Beijing, Tianjin and Kampala. This is the first EPC EPC EPC project of China Petroleum Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. ("Engineering Construction Company") to enter the surface engineering market of Uganda's oilfield, and it is also another important project obtained by the company in the "Belt and Road".

The project is operated by Uganda Limited, a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corporation Limited (CNOOC). On February 1, local time, the Albert Lake Oilfield Project, Uganda's first commercial oil discovery with CNOOC as one of the operators, officially launched full construction. The signing of this contract marks that the Kingfisher Oilfield Project, which belongs to the Albert Lake Oilfield Project, has officially entered the implementation stage of design, procurement and construction integration.

The project is a core part of the surface engineering of the Kingfisher field, with a design crude oil handling capacity of 2 million tons/year. The engineering construction company and the partners form a close consortium to jointly undertake the construction of the project, with a construction period of 36 months and a trial operation period of 2 months. When the project is completed and put into operation, the production of the Kingfisher field will reach 40,000 barrels per day.

Wu Jun, general manager of the engineering construction company, said that the Kingfisher oilfield project should be built into a model project, a high-quality project and a green environmental protection project for the cooperation between PetroChina and CNOOC, and contribute to the high-quality production of the Kingfisher oilfield on schedule.
