Sister Stoeva: Go fight, fight

The world's ninth-ranked women's doubles duo, the Stoeva sisters, revealed on the recent badminton infinity column that they almost decided to give up the sport four years ago.

Although the duo had a place on the Bulgarian badminton team, they still felt that they did not receive the respect they deserved, which led to the idea of retiring.

"In 2018, we were mentally exhausted, and we didn't win people's respect by working hard."

Since overcoming that period of uncertainty, their partnership has made even greater progress. As two-time European Champions, they have entered the ranks of the world's top women's doubles pairs.

So far they have all achieved good results, competing in their second career Olympic Games in Tokyo last year.

"We understand that nothing is easy and you need to fight for it." Stephanie said.

"We've still had a good result compared to so many great combinations in the world and we're very happy." Gabriela added.
