The "Star-Studded III." jazz concert, sponsored by the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Film and Tourism and performed by the Chengdu Orchestra, was staged at the Chengdu City Concert Hall on the evening of August 26. The concert featured about 20 performers and a total of 13 jazz tracks. Chen Zeng, principal trumpet player of Chengdu Symphony Orchestra, Zheng Yuxing, jazz piano teacher of Sichuan Conservatory of Music and Sichuan Institute of Pop Music, Qi Wei, young teacher of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, and Zeng Rui, young jazz singer and Broadway swing singer, participated in the performance.
The concert opens romantically with the sound of the track "My Sun-O Sole Mio". As a world famous song, "My Sun" is highly sung in terms of vocal music. The song specially invited classical musicians to perform, and the jazz version of the adaptation - the fusion of jazz and classical style resonated with the audience; the track "Pink Panther - The Pink Panther Theme" played a pivotal role in the development of jazz, under the skillful performance of the musicians, rhythm and melody were integrated; as a "big project" in jazz, "Swing-sway" is a representative subject, representing a style of jazz playing.
There are also programs such as "Come on - In The Moon", "Fly to the Moon - Fly Me to the Moon", "When I Fall in Love" and other programs. The whole performance is full of mixed and matching styles: classics, pops, adaptations, etc. At the same time, during the performance, the performers will also interact with the audience, and the audience will respond with enthusiastic applause and cheers, and the atmosphere of the audience will be relaxed and happy.
Jazz is a very relaxed form of musical expression, the audience in the process of appreciation does not have to be too rigid, can directly participate in the performance, the audience can be with the performers, with the music swinging, clapping, humming, such a form can let everyone's body and mind to relax.
